Maintainers - I'm putting my stern teacher voice on so watch out ;) - first of all, you have done a fantastically amazing thing to lose your weight and reach 'goal'. :T I understand that we all have a 'number' in our heads that we aim for and that you have (and we will) reached/reach this. However, as you all know only too well, it is completely unrealistic to stay at the exact same weight forever. That's why you have a maintaining range, so you can enjoy life and still not put all the weight back on. I don't believe there should be any embarrassment or shame in putting on or losing within that range - in fact, for those of us yet to get there, it provides a positive role model, showing that a little fluctuation is to be expected and is entirely normal. As BB says, if it really is detrimental to you then of course come off the chart Missy, but if it is just a case of the chart being altered, then there really is no need surely? You are all an inspiration to us and we can learn from your experiences if you share them with us. Be proud of your achievements, and your ability to stay within range, which is undoubtedly the hardest part of this whole journey.:heartpuls

  • yay i have finally started to loose :D 3lbs.

and i managed not to spend very much in lakelands yesterday at all. new scales, electronic to go along with my non electronic ones, and a bread bag for my nice hm bread. i was overcome by a desire to throw everything out and start again though just so i could spend money.

course the chocolate buying in hotel chocolat might not have been a good idea.

For one reason or another I didn't manage to post my weight until after the chart last week so I am making sure I get in on my weigh in day this week :D

So half a pound OFF! which means I am bang on 21 stone which is 27 pounds off in total and my total for Feb is 2.5 pounds on (which is a bit annoying but hey!)
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

Just a quickie as Im getting ready for night shift.

MumofTwo EFT is a technique where you tap with your fingers on accupressure points. These are usually on the face and fingers. The guy that taught me was amazing. One of the other ladies there could not touch bare feet and he worked with her. By the end of the day she was fine. It can be used for a wide range of things. If you Google you can find info if you are interested. PS you are not thick its just not something that is widely known about.

Will weigh myself in the morning when I get back from work. Night shift is a temptation time for me. But will be good.

Well done to all the losers.

1lb loss for me Granny please.

Would have been more but had a few temptations along the way :) .

Still been on the exercise bike every day for 20 mins and am getting used to it a bit now. At least it's getting used rather than using it to hang our coats on in the hall! :rotfl:

Hello to all the new people......this weight loss thing is a bit of a struggle but it's nice to know we're in it together, plus the people who have reached their targets are a great incentive.

Went off the diet today but am learning to draw a line under it and move on, which I've not been able to do before.

Hope you are all well and for those a bit under the weather...do hope the sun shines through soon.

So much so I am considering joining my rugby on doing the Sport Relief Mile. Some of them are going for the 6miler. Bearing in mind I only started using the threadmill January 3rd, and can manage 1.3 miles. Should I go for the 6 mile? Would anyone sponsor me?? Cheeky I know but looking for some inspiration?

Oooh my brother & his girlfriend are doing that, aparently they haven't started training yet, and neither of them go to the gym  how they will manage I don't know, I can only run for about 5-6 mins at the moment!

Speaking of the gym, I think it's working! I've only had 3 days off since I joined on the 19th, which I don't feel guilty about. I tell myself as long as I go at least 3 times a week I'm not wasting the money. I don't pressure myself to go every day, or every other day, so it doesn't seem like a chore.
Anyway, WI today...6 lbs loss for me this week!! I'm just 2.8 lbs away from my next stone, and 16.8 lbs away from my June target! :D

Blimey I've started something again now haven't I? :rotfl:

Just want to make clear I'm not expecting to stay the same every single week, I don't even want to be like that, I want freedom to enjoy my new size/weight and that means being good some weeks and not so good other weeks ;)

It is hard to explain exactly how I feel, but I think being on the chart where I am posting a loss/gain every week is the wrong thing for me - my measure of success is whether I am BMI21 or below so it's more of a yes/no thing for me than keeping track of all the ups and downs - I'm either below that BMI or not, and if I'm not I'll re-join the lose weight part of the chart :D

I hope that explains it a little bit better! Please don't see me asking to be taken off as a negative thing, it's just the right thing for me personally at the moment. I'll still update my BMI each week in my sig, and I won't be leaving this thread (you don't get rid of me that easily :p)
