  • Well, back on page 43 y'all gave me a really warm welcome and now on page 70-something I want to say thanks! and I'm 7lbs lighter in the ensuing 2 weeks.

Still EFT / tapping when any cravings come up and putting on some nice hynotherapy CDs each night (well almost each night) for that extra brain washing ;)

Back on page 43 someone asked (and I don't know how to go back and look without losing my place here - technoblonde here - my apologies) about EFT etc. It has been described to me as 'accupressure without the needles', based on the chinese accupuncture stuff, energy meridians etc. But you tap on certain places as you think about stuff and you form a sentence, so if it's about craving a choc fix you'd tap on the set up point (which is on your hand) with something like 'even though I really want a bar of dairy milk I choose to be completely satisfied with x,y or z' and yes x, y or z really can be an apple or a glass of water - prepare to be amazed! anyway then you tap on places on your face etc. You can find tapping diagrams on the web, or get in touch with the www.dietfreedom.co.uk team who am sure will send you more info.

I am not a mad fan of Paul McK, I prefer the Glenn Harrold CDs, he has a really soothing voice! Hub grumbles occasionally about the 3rd man in our bedroom, but we both sleep really soundly which is a bit of a revelation as he didnt have good sleepin habits, and so as a result I was a bit tossyturny too - no longer!

Anyway, 7lbs, and thanks for the warm warm welcome. oh and Hub has lost another 9lb, so we're on a roll. Only a few more stone to go :p I get very inspired reading all your tales of great triumph in the battle of the bulge too, so that's really preciated as well!

  • PS on the topic of gyms, we joined LA Fitness a while back and have not been a lot in last couple of months - now we've moved house they want to charge us a fee so we can use another club even though we can't cancel our membership, how irritating is that?! BUT when we go there is no denying it works, and we feel really good! I hate tsay it, but bloody exercise makes such a difference. Have also found a lovely local park and a 30 minute power walk even makes the eyesight brighter and the thighs visibly more toned. Hark at me, could I become an exercise junkie, could I hell! x

sorry for not replying sooner 123money - I must have missed your post. Different foods bloat people differently. For a lot of people its carbs - especially bread and pasta, beans is another bad one for tummy bloating...

try this link for some other ideas

anyone else out there got any suggestions?

.... so your OH is a HMHB fan then?

All the very best, Vic xxxxx
  • Well done Claire :j :jfor both you and your hub, and thanks for the extra info on EFT. My Paul McKenna cd is still close to hand (didn't get put back in the cupboard, so that's a start for me :o ) and on my ever increasing list of things to do :rolleyes2 ...

...Things seem to be picking up on planet Petrichor but I don't want to say it too loud, because bad things always happen whenever I do - suppose it's the cosmic balance stuff - so I'm going to (re)start the things that I was going to do as part of my new year aims, I suppose 2 months late is better than never ;) and one thing at a time...

...Which reminds me of what I wanted to say the other day :rotfl: I now have a bit more time on my hands due to the ironing that I'm not now doing, and noone has noticed :Dyet...

...be back later, have a good day all :j ...
