Hi guys. Had a very naughty week and couldn't face a proper weigh in as the indications on the scale said I had gained ridiculous amount of weight ! (TOTM too which might explain a few things!) How much can one person gain in a few days? Anyway, Day 1 today. I went swimming last night and tried to get a grip on the loss of control of my eating. The stupid thing is that I haven't enjoyed eating all that I ate - it just made me miserable and worried that I was going down a slippery slope.

Day 1 Day 1 Day 1 - if I keep repeating it, it should sink in. Thanks for the chart Grannynise and thanks for leaving me on even without a weigh-in.

Retired lady -- you're REALLY on a roll! (A virtual roll, not a bready one, obviously)

    .

TeeHee!! I know - I am so happy I am like a dog with two tails - and they are both wagging like crazy!!:j :D :j :D :j

Thanks for doing the chart grannynise - it looks so amazing when I see my weight loss written down like that. It has taken me a while to lose that much and I am not even at the half way point yet but I am starting to think - no darn it - I know I will be able to go all the way! Even if it does take me another year or two!:o

Welcome to all the new people who have joined us. You will find this a very kind and helpful list. I don't post a lot as I am a shy retiring little thing (ahem:o ) but I am happy to answer any questions. I go to Slimming World by the way.

    Love to all

Thank you for the chart Grannynise! Well done to everyone who's lost this week. Eiluj321 congrats on slimmer of the week and I think almost 8lb off in a single week is a record since I've been posting here!

Efrieze, you're just back from hols and bound to be a bit all over the place! I'm absolutely sure it's not a slippery slope for you, things will be back to normal very soon :) I bet the change in time zones and routine etc has something to do with it.

Well done to everyone who's lost this week, keep up the good work, I hope I can follow your example come my first weigh in next week :T

I was a bit naughty last night at the Italian restaurant, we got a sharing platter to start which had deep fried things on it, but in retrospect I was pretty healthy compared to usual. I had the sharing platter and then tuna tomato pasta, whereas usually I would've had a sharing platter, pizza for main course with a garlic bread side, ice cream for dessert then I'd have bought a bag of sweets to take into the cinema, so I did quite well really.

That's really good cazz - this is the way forward - cuting back not cutting out if you can. That way you don't feel deprived, but keep doing this and it will make a difference. An in between treats, sticking more thoroughly to your overall plan. I know we all want to lose the weight immediately, but slow and gradual is very sustainable long term. Slow off = slow on.
Efrieze - I agree with missyg - this is post hols wobble. Understandably you are anxious, but this time it is not all going back on and you are about to prove this to yourself by starting day one as you have done. The more times you allow yourself a treat day or two and then get back to your overall plan, the more you will learn that you can trust yourself.
That's were I am right now. Had fish & chips Tues eve and was at mum's yesterday, which is always going to mean delious home made pie and a pate/cheese fest. I thoroughly enjyed by self and now want to ensure I have 2 days of strictly to the SW plan before OH rellies birthday lunch on Saturday.
Well done eiluj for sotw. I can't remember how you are planning to lose weight; quite a few newbies recently and I can't remember all the different plans of campaign! And retired lady too - it is so worth looking at a month's worth of results isn't it when you've had an unexplainable bad week and are feeling discouraged.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    Morning everyone.

Well done to all the losers. I havent got a campaign as such. Trying to use SW principles and just healthy eating. Have porridge in the mornings with a banana, cinammon and almonds. Porkchops for lunch today with vegetables. Not sure what Tea will be tonight as Im at vol job then to daughters. Off down the street now so may grab some Gammon streaks. Have a good day everyone.

Sounds like a good plan Boddy, it's the best way to go about it, the weight might come off at a more slow and steady pace, but you're probably more likely to keep it off that way.
  • Ok, so I weighed myself last night - starting weight: 12st 7.25lb. I'll let you know how I get on next week!

    Thanks for the welcome ;)
