  • hi kymrob, welcome to the thread I hope you will have fun with us. The chart is done on a wed evening so lots of us tend to weigh in to tie in with that but it's not compulsory. I'm sure you'll pick up lots of useful tips form everyone, not just those going it alone.
  • Can I join too? I was planning on starting my new diet tomorrow and then found this thread! I've sent my OH out shopping for me as will be late home tonight - what a sweetie!

What do I need to do?

Hi everyone, I'm on time to report a loss of 0.5 :o , but I can't remember what my loss was before. Anyway, I now weigh 11st 5.5lbs, I was 12st 4lbs, so only 1.5lbs to lose and then I have lost a stone!! Woohoo. Mind you, this first stone is taking AGES to go, then I still have 2stone to lose to get to 9st 2lbs which will give me a BMI of 25. :p At this rate I will have lost all my weight by 2020 hopefully............................

I suppose I should log my starting weight huh?! Well I weighed myself on Monday an I was 12st 4lb so I'll leave it until next Tursday evening to weigh myself again.

    Goal weight is 10st 4lb, which at 5ft 10 will hopefully make me a size 10 - 12 :T

    Hey there,

I have just decided to get myself fit for the first time since I was 16 or so! I think I need to lose 1st or so & i'd like to maybe tone up on the muscle side of things. I am now actively playing football twice a week so that should help. My biggest problems are my eating habits and alcohol consumption on a saturday night. To be honest i'm quite a plain eater and can happily eat grilled chicken and veg without the need for any unhealthy sauces. The problem i have is that it is expensive to buy in food in as a single guy (& also, i can't often be bothered to make anything that uses lots of pots & pans just for 1 meal!) Chocolate cravings are a nightmare too!

Anyways, i'm kinda rambling here but i've just been to the gym and had a 15 minute jog so i've made a small start! Anytips or advice about eating/excercise/avoiding chocolate or other sweets will be much appreciated. Oh, I weighed myself on the scales at the gym and it says i'm 168lbs - i'm sure this is 4-5 too light though!

    thanks,

    Ross

Hello everyone, I've emerged from the darkness that is Ofsted .... battered, bruised and bl**dy tired but triumphant. {Ones and twos for those of you that know about such things. Only three for attendance but I do draw the line at going round to the little darlings' houses and fetching them into school ... so I'll put up with a three for that. } Thank you for your very kind messages.

Now off to a governors' meeting (planned long ago, but not the night I would have chosen) so the chart will go up a bit later, when I get back. Probably about 10 ish.

Suggs - you seem to have posted a -1 (post 1089) then written today (post 1307) that you've put on a pound. Shall I record it as a STS or have got it muddled?

New people -- hello to you all. I'll put you oin the list as soon as you post a loss or gain. The list doesn't have your starting weight, only your lovely losses (and just now and again the little gains)
