I must agree - the whole waist thing is a bit more difficult for men, I think it's supposed to be roughly where your stomach button is but who knows! I must confess even though I always tick the box on competitions requesting not to be sent new offers and prmotions by e-mail I still do get quite a bit! Because I entered every comp in sight at one point I get lots of e-mails from blokes magazines, football websites (I hate the game!) and other companies that i'm not at all interested in, they just had prizes I would have liked to win!

.....I guess the advice over there is to get a dedicated comps email address that you can just ignore when you want to? That's the great thing about Gmail and Hotmail. I don't understand football either, that's why I'm a West Brom fan ;)

    How are you finding WW?
pan...he's going out with the lovely bails not his mum...

... to be fair though seren every MiL is someone else's mom, and if the boot was on the other foot, people wouldn't like to hear it. You can understand from that perspective and on that point only why he might react badly.

Ooooh, while I think for the WW newbies. A fantastic low-point meal is a large pitta bread (3.5 points per pitta) , cut like a doner kebab and stuffed with slices of Quorn fillets and Frylight-ed onions, or salad or whatever floats yer boat. I generally pack mine with onions and three fillets, lots of tabasco and it's 5 points for the lot. Low-point vegetarian heaven. Must place an order with the wife for tonight...

PS don't try this on Slimming World unless you've used zilcho naughties as just the pitta bread is about eight syns on its own.

Sitting here bored (bad vic bad:rotfl: ) and yes it happened the bingeing, eating for the sake of it, pig out, the open and not closing mouth syndrome but this time (and so far in my life this time only:rotfl: ) I thought to myself why not if you are going to eat for the sake of it make it positive happy eating rather than negative, make you feel bad, feel ill stuff? So I ate plain crackers, ryvita, lots of them, I guess 8/10 in one go but hey I am chuffed with myself (yes I have added up the calories, yes I am already mentally cutting back on the rest of the days points/calories:rotfl: ) but for me cracker pigging out is a new one and I am impressed, I know that later my numbers are not going to sore and I have not lined myself up with the rest of the day feeling rubbish as a direct reaction to eating badly during the day.:D

Can I join in please? :)

I'm wanting to shed about a stone & a half before my birthday (14 weeks away) by good old fashioned healthy eating and exercise and DESPERATELY need help & support so I thought I'd give you friendly bunch a try :T
  • Ajax - I only just joined this morning so i'm thinking it's going to take me a few days to work out this points thing! On week days I do quite a lot of exercise (an hour of running and biking at the gym) and I think the points thing will make sure I go to the gym as I've worked out it will give me an extra 6 points a day taking me to 28 which i'm sure I can cope with. I think i'll do ok at home it's when I go out for lunch or tea so I bought the eating out guide today too which is very good. Time will tell I guess!!

Hi Cazzdevil, welcome and good luck! I lost half a stone the good old fashioned way. I've joined WW this morning mainly so I have to stand in front of someone to get weighed which will hopefully motivate me out of the rut i'm in! I've only been on this board a month but they are all very friendly! Good luck with the weight loss!

........28 points should see you fine to be honest. I get by on 29 very very easily and I'm quite a big eater. That sound slike an awful lot of work at the gym, I admire you.

Vixarooni - Am I getting you mixed up with someone else on this board I thought you worked in a bra shop?! Congrats on the GHD things that's a lovely present, in my experience men are terrible at keeping secrets they practically explode with wanting to tell!

haha totally! They cant keep their excitement in. I am the person who works in debenhams, but i have to check out the rubbish competition sometimes! :p

Cazzdevil - welcome and good luck!
  • Victory - atleast you pigged out on healthy things
I ate plain crackers, ryvita, lots of them
. Had it been me it would prob have been chocolate biscuits or cake with no nutritional value atleast ryvita is full of good nutrients! My friend who's a dietricain says there's no such things as good and bad for you foods just food that's more nutricious than others and if you're going to have a bad day best go for the nutricous calorie overload!
