Big Well Done Andie :j After all this weight loss Im still showing a BMI of 33.3  but that is down from a start of 56.6 :D

.....what's your WL masterplan, Suggs? Are you maintaining in order to stay effective on the rugby field, or is it to take a breather, or what? When you stop playing rugby will you be in boot-camp victory mode and giving it the all-in again?

Andie you must be pleased as Punch. Nice one!!

Wonders what bails' nickname was but is guessing she'd never spill the beans....

Raphael, hope you enjoy your yoga DVD (you didn't get it on ebay did you, cos I just sold one :p) You'll probably notice an improvement every time you do it. I have competitions with my son about who can hold the poses the longest... yes, sad I know.

Not had chance to do it today yet, finished work at 6am, back in at 2! It means thou that I can get some sleep before driving up to mums in the morning. I am going to do some when I get home tonight, I am aching all over from the 1st go!

    Meditation is going great thou.

Thanks Suggs & Ajax! I am very motivated and pleased although this is a little false as I didn't actually loose those 4 lbs the scales just weighed kinder than mine but being near a target helps!! I'm at Pizza Express on Monday night so armed with the WW point guide this will be a willpower test to choose the healthiest option as opposed to my fave goats cheese pizza!

Suggs - that is an amazing weight loss though and must take an amazing amount of will power - I struggle with wanting to loose 2.5 stone and thinking that's a long road so you've done so well. If as it sound you're a rugby player you've probably a lot more muscle than many people (I for one am a weekling girl so can't use muscle as an excuse!!). It's finding what you're happy with and can maintain too, i've been down to the middle of my "ideal" bmi before and it was miles too hard to maintain and people kept saying I looked too thin - I could eat cereal and a balanced meal for tea but only had a slim a soup and and orange for my lunch and no snacks but maybe the odd pudding once a week. That was never going to work for me long term so I settled for being at the top end of my ideal BMI - only wish i'd stayed there!

.....is it just my wishful thinking or do I remember the science bods generally agreed last year that the BMI scale was rubbish as it didn't take body types into account, and that for most people a healthy range would be top of BMI to just over? I'm sure there was a different and more meaningful model.

Andie, I can't be bothered to go and look :D so can you tell me if there are rules on the comps boards and guides about having to pay to enter and stuff like that? Comping can be expensive if you pay for stamps or phone calls.... I'm hoping that only the MSE way of entering without outlay is encouraged :)

    Hi everyone!

Went shopping this morning and kind of regretted it. As much as i love mirrors that show your back angle i made the mistake of looking at it. Blimey i look really bizarre from the back view! Tiny up top and then my bum looked MASSIIVE. Ive always loved my bum cos its had that jlo beyonce thing going on, but jesus, never knew it was so wide!

Tried on a bra in m&s, it was gorge but it was quite patterned so i thought it would show up through tops. Which reminds me ive gotta pm beanie!

OHH guess what!! My boyfriend bought me some GHD's!!!!!!!!!!! It has lots of GHD stuff in it too. Very cool. He wouldnt let me wait to open it, i have more willpower than he does and he knows what in it!

Ajax - I think it's the waist to hip ratio you're thinking of which is supposed to be better at analysing risk of heart disease - if you have more weight on your stomach the risk is higher basically. Link to one site with ratio calculator on below:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14483512/ Mine, comes out below 0.8 which means i'm not at as much risk - much prefer this method LOL!

The comp boards are fantastic - athough i've not had much time to keep up with them recently - there's lots of comps posted every day on free to enter internet competitions. I won my dvd on Woolworths website. The postal ones are in a seperate thread so you can avoid them and i've not seen any phone ones, so yes very MSE all free!! - a little time consuming at first as there's lots of sites to sign up to but atleast when new comps come up you've already got a logon for them.

Vixarooni - Am I getting you mixed up with someone else on this board I thought you worked in a bra shop?! Congrats on the GHD things that's a lovely present, in my experience men are terrible at keeping secrets they practically explode with wanting to tell!

... lol. That's not much help when you're a man though. We have no idea where our waist actually is (isn't it the jeans waistband? :D) or whether we have to stop breathing in to measure it ;)

oooh, I could never do that myself, I was just hoping it aspired to the principles of MSE :) Blimey, I get annoyed at the amount of meaningless emails I get from the bookies through matched betting - you have to keep receiving them in case an extra offer ever comes along  (EDIT Right on cue, email from " Stan James » ‎Capello's Diff'rent Strokes - If you are unable to see the message below, click here to view. Stan James - The Sports Bookmaker … 2:32 pm.") If I signed up to everyone's promotional emails I'd get driven berserk.

I must agree - the whole waist thing is a bit more difficult for men, I think it's supposed to be roughly where your stomach button is but who knows! I must confess even though I always tick the box on competitions requesting not to be sent new offers and prmotions by e-mail I still do get quite a bit! Because I entered every comp in sight at one point I get lots of e-mails from blokes magazines, football websites (I hate the game!) and other companies that i'm not at all interested in, they just had prizes I would have liked to win!

  • Cheers up bails...Everyone gets a bit miffed when they find someone has nicknamed the rents no matter how much they deserve it.

trouble is seren, I think he's more than a bit miffed - I think he's stratisfericaly angry by the sound of it and his mother is vile to bails and she handles it really well 99.9% of the time. Giving her a nick name was a harmelss way of dealing with her. It's the hurt that he can't see that.

Ah!....in which case you need to bash your OH over the head with a frying pan...he's going out with the lovely bails not his mum...
