.....what's your WL masterplan, Suggs? Are you maintaining in order to stay effective on the rugby field, or is it to take a breather, or what? When you stop playing rugby will you be in boot-camp victory mode and giving it the all-in again?

    .

Masterplan I think is to ....

    Maintain roughly the same weight
Reduce body fat percentage from the current 27(ish)% maybe to 22% not sure whats a good number?
    Do an 8minute mile
Start swimming (again!) build up to 800m

So yes all geared to the rugby, once rugby is over I will visit the Victory Boot Camp and full steam ahead to Normal BMI 'ville. :) BMI is rubbish, most of any international rugby team is 'obese' as the BMI takes no allowance for muscle mass.

    Bails' nickname is sexymama ;)

Andie, my thanks to you. It has been a very long and fraught road for me, and one I do not intend to ruin or go back on. Your right though I do play rugby (badly!)

Vixarooni - I thought so! I must confess M&S underwear is fab, although i'm sure Debenhams is too just there isn't one near me! I'm more of a Bravissimo girl though just it's so expensive!

Ajax - I find I prefer to exercise more and eat more as I am a complete food lover. I eat quite healthy anyway but like big portions - i've never been like people I'm friends with who i've been out for food with and they never seem to manage more than 3/4 of their main course! I have weaknesses though in chocolate, biscuits, cake and puddings. I'm just trying to be more realistic now and treating myself with a fudge bar or curly wurly instead and so far it's working! So in short I need to do a full hour in the gym!!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone, that's JUST the kind of support I need :T:T:T

I'm gonna sit down tonight and sort out some of my old Weight Watchers recipes, weigh myself as a starting weight and discuss with my beloved what my plan of attack should be.
  • Suggs - your body fat % doesn't sound too bad at all. My dietrician did mine with her special fat machine where they stick electrode pads all over you to get a full body picture when I was a couple of pounds heavier and mine was 37.9% and she has written on my assessment recommended range 20-26% I think mens is supposed to be lower but she told me she's seem patients with an ideal bmi but a really high % body fat as they've no lean muscle.

I don't know i anyone on here has tried but my friend said your practise nurse or GP should be able to refer you to your practice dietrician for a full analysis if your BMI is>30. They really are very helpful, I used to do Virgin Vie parties and did one for my dietrician frined and her guests were all dietricians and they sat and ate crisps and chocs all night while drinking wine so they're very human too!

....sounds very sensible. I'd advise making a list of your vices too, along with your favourite foods. Plans of attack can vary widely dependant just on the types of food/ drink you like.

How long you got left in your rugby life Suggs?

I remember 'them' saying Lennox Lewis was clinically obese when you put his stats on a BMI chart. Didn't say it to his blimmin' face though, did they? They weren't that daft.

Very good idea, thanks. I'm in the middle of eating an Aero bar so I reckon chocolate ought to be pretty high up my list :o

andie - M&S and fab dont go together unless its food. Love their food!

Theyre bras are Oooookkkkk, everytime i go in (which isnt that often) they have the same bras in and hardly anything new! Although im obviously biased.

That is the next bra i am getting! Its the best! Everyone at work has it reserved. obviously with matching briefs and i might get the suspender belt too. Infact i will.
