  • Ok hope everyone is well. Had quite a productive day have done DD's bedroom this morning. Made Butternut squash soup - kids not keen but DH enjoyed and said he was going to take some to work on Monday. Might need to freeze some as there is loads there. Also just made Jamie Oliver's Butternut squash muffins well fairy cakes really as I don't have a muffin tin. Now these the kids did like acording to my eldest DS I am the best mummy in the whole world! Anyway just going to tidy a cupboard in the kitchen (just one though) then cook dinner and stop the kids trying to eat the rest of the cakes. Have a good day all.

    I've remade DD's bed.

Turned washing round on the radiators.

Stared out the windows at the rain.

It's been a long day.....getting dark now too.

  • today has been mega productive so far:
    • sorted out spare room
    • box and 2 bags of stuff to take to charity shop, which DH dropped off on his way to the tip
    • i have made a sausage casserole in the SC
    • shaving light has now been put back on so th bathroom now just needs the new door fitting
    • 3 loads through WM
    • 2 have been TD'd, 1 on airers, 1 more to go on airers
    • MFI fitter been and now we now what is happening a bit better
    • fridge cleaned
    • supermarket shop done, scanned and put away
    • found some stuff that needs to go to my mums, and that is now in my car ready for us visiting my parents in a bit
    • DH just swept up all the old pine needles that have been waiting outside for a few weeks to get done
    • we have been told that DH's boss is giving us some leftover kitchen work surface from them doing their kitchen so we will be kitchen rennovating soon too.
so we are just sitting now with some fruit cake and a cuppa before we are doing anything.

i think we are going to have to be so organised to pull all this off, so i think i am going to have quite a few more weekends before we can actually have a rest.

aimee jealous here of you sitting in the sun and about to walk on the beach. I guess at least it isn't raining here at the minute. :rotfl:

glass of wine tonight i think, before another day of it tomorrow.

torianut wanted to add to the floor discussion, we have laminate in the living/dining room, and charlie has put chips in it in a couple of places by hitting it just right when he threw his drinking cup on the floor. Also, the radiator leaked a bit, and it didn't like getting water underneath it.

I have tasted them they are yummy bit like carrot cake but the frosting that goes on top is runny but my kids liked that as they licked that bit of first:D . I got the recipe of the channel 4 website. I didn't put the walnuts in though because I don't like them but I would certainly make them again. HTH
