Hi Amanda and good luck. I try to have one week of flying to level 3ish and then the next week less cleaning (levels1 or 2) and time decluttering/sorting etc - seems to work for me. Remember babysteps.

I have just got DS3 party invites printed out and they are in his bookbag ready for tomorrow. Going to check my list and then start on the ironing mountain.

DS2 has a temperature and is sweaty round the ears (bet their is a homeopathic remedy for that) so has gone to bed, DS3 DH doing his story and putting him to bed. DS1 as ever playing darts.

    Hiya
Welcome Amanda, a new thread will be started for the coming week so that will give you lists of everything you need to do - saying that, remember you don't have to do everything! Serena - i'm impressed about the socks, I have problems just darning a pair! AnW - yeah! Nearly there! I gave all mine to a accountant as I don't do accounts! Lol.

DH is making us roast duck for dinner so i'm looking forward to that. Just realised I call him OH when he annoys me and DH when he doesn't! Let's hope I call him DH more than OH!!!

    Speak soon xx

^^ Please use this thread from tonight/Monday, no posts on here after Monday please (for those who don't know the way things work yet)

Michelle ((hugs for Charlie)) bless him, these things like you say, just happen, at least it's just a bump. Well done to DP rescuing the stuff that was going in the bin, hope you're getting to keep what you make from it.

With the parking, found out the other 'person' who keeps parking there doesn't even live in the street, he lives in the flats behind our house. DP went a little crackers with him this morning when he blocked our drive again. He even admitted to having a police notice on his car and ignoring it.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Ooooh, I've been v v v good. I think I've used up half a bottle of stardrops trying to clean my oven/hob/hood etc. I've been in this house for 3.5 years and its the cleanest its ever been!! Time for a cuppa and an early night I think.
  • ebay sales now up to 1300 quid. DH will get some of it i imagine due to boss being very nice and taking him out for lunch and giving us his old kitchen bench. But then again, as he is a nice man we would help him if we could too.

The parking problem just keeps getting more ridiculous. I would go for notifying the police every time it happens, and they will get fed up very quickly

Oh well if he gets it then make sure you're not out of pocket by fees, which will be quite hefty on that amount!

With the parking he was 'warned' today, we told him about the fine if he does it and that the officer who came said if they were called after issuing a fine if he did it again, they'd tow the car away if necessary :D shut him up and he's now parked further down the street, not blocking anyones drive. Think we've sort of sorted it. I can understand where the kid is coming from saying he doesn't have anywhere to park where he's moved to (there isn't a road to the flats) his landlord must not have rented him the garage (each flat built had a matching garage in a block further along) to go with it. This said I said 'But if I didn't have somewhere to park I wouldn't block someones drive' It's just common sense isn't it?

I have been very busy today and I have at last found the info I needed for my tax return. Dustykitten, I might get about £60 back which would be very nice. We have had a power cut most of the day and now the snow is coming down thick. Because we had no power we had to find other things to do so we have been sorting paper work all day and trying to keep warm. The snow looks like it is set to stay.
