Know what you mean shelley, my cheapest one was £34 and that was for a simple one. J/JJ aren't the letters I like using too often as it usually costs me a fortune. Never managed to find one in a sale or anything :( I don't use the machine every wash but find they get so much cleaner.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning All

DS woke me up an hour ago - really don't want to be out of bed but hey!

Think I'm going to was the dishes and then do some ironing. Need to get the washer on but I'll wait until DD gets up as I'd prefer her to sleep for a bit longer.

Right, I'm going to make a start and do something - catch you all later.

  • Morning everyone.

8am here, so i almost feel human today ;)

Visit to parents meant we got home at 9pm last night, so we were most grateful for my SC sausage casserole as it would have been takeaway otherwise. We then sat and watched Dreamgirls, so that is now ready to be posted back. Found it a bit of a strange film, long, and a bit boring to be honest, although the singing was very good.

This morning so far, we have all had a tasty breakie of croissants and jam, followed by some tinned pears. DH has just washed up all of last nights and this mornings stuff, and has dried it as he is about to clean the sink and draining board for me - apparently i only have to ask and it is done for me today.

He's then going to take charlie out for a bit, another exciting trip to the DIY shop and then to his boss's house to get the piece of bench he said we could have yesterday.

The plan for me is to do school work, and the only house work plans are washing and ironing, changing the bed. I worked out yesterday 107 days to the babies due date, so we aim to change at least one thing a day to help us get ready for it. Plan for today then is not spend all day on here.

See you later lovely ladies - when hopefully i will have done lots.
    Michelle, x

    Morning all

Hope all is well in your pats of the world. Ssssh it isn't raining here at the minute. I really need some outdoor time - espcially as OH has kindly taken DS2 to his football (my job) as DS1's is cancelled (his job).

Going to have a cuppa and a shower and then go outside and do a little something on anything I can reach from the paths as the grass will be way to wet to stand on. Think I'll take a couple of pictures to try to edit on screen to help plan my kitchen garden.

    Morning all!

Just been in online self assesment tax hell but all worth as they now owe so thats a little bonus coming back.

Must be honest I read thread in little bits yesterday so can't remember who said what, when so hugs and hellos!

Lil me - your neighbour sounds like a right berk, not what you need

Had a terrible nights sleep worrying about my tax return, why cos I've submitted them for last 4 years but its done now so can relax. Plan today is to all get dressed and take dogs for a run and then chill out I think. Cooking haddock mornay for tea - yum!

Got really annoyed last night as DH has had a rise at work for a promotion but it looks like most of it will be swallowed by the cost of living going up massively - petrol, food, gas, electric, council tax. Seems really unfair that we all keep getting ripped off.

Anyway, off for a brew and snuggle with DS. Enjoy your sunday!

  • Hello ladies and :hello: play2day

Thanks for hugs - rash still no better so docs (again) in morning (what fun) but slept a bit better thanks to piriton and a little tot.

Dad's got over novovirus but he's asked to stay in private room as he gets more sleep - maggots have been removed and surgeon will look at again tomorrow to see what surgery needs doing next - its a long slog but at least they are trying to save his foot not just chopping it off.

Lil_me - you seem blessed with charming neighbours. Have you tried blocking in their mums drive/their cars if you can't get on your drive? Hope they find some consideration soon.

Am hoping that the alarm man turns up today - he's cancelled last min 3 times this week and its so frustrating sitting in waiting - at least his wife/PA has the courtesy to ring when he can't make it tho but its annoying when you're tied to the house.

Bloke from window company came round yesterday to measure up - we've saved up and now we're getting the whole house re-done, a bow window on the front, a back door!!! (no more having to go through the patio) and some french windows plus all the guttering/soffits/fascias/verge done too.
I'm so excited that we can get it out of the way and not have to go into debt for it - tho it has been hard not touching the money when Xmas etc rolled round but I'm glad we stuck with it - it'll make such a diff, not just to heating bills but to the look of the house - it'll actually feel like our home then not someone else's choice. :D

Not much needs doing round here - I'll just do a HHI and a HHE and maybe tackle the doorframes

That's what I am supposed to be doing right now! It's the first time I have had to do one and I know it has been on my mind. I started reselling on ebay in 2006 and registered with the taxman then. Still work as am employee and DH died in the June so to me it feels just about as complicated as it can be and being the first SA I have had to do it feels so much worse and more nerve wrecking. The only fortunate thing is for the self employed bit I turned over less than £15k so can do the short bit for that but want to make sure I include all allowable expenses in the calculation. Right enough waffle, onwards.....................

:coffee: and get dressed first ;)
