Hi
Just come back from a friends house having listened to the marvels of Amivo.co.uk and how I can make loads of money. I'm not going for it don't you worry! Great escapes, "baby sitters - when you just have to leave"
As the old saying goes "if it is too good to be true then it probably is"
Having done a Google search it all seems very dodgy, and appears to be pyramid selling by another name, any of you guys had any experience of this. Would be interested to hear more....
Apparently IBS is not irritable bowel syndrome its international business systems, but maybe it induces it?

As you say, a quick Google reveals Amway by yet another name.
Have a look here for Amway, Quixtar, Team of Destiny and MLM schemes.

Wish I'd never come across IBS and Amway. IBS training system and buying Amway products to meet 200 points per month has set me back over £50,000 over six years. Am going to look for advice as to whether I can claim against them for misleading me and constantly encouraging devotion to their system.
Steer completely clear of them at all times and see https://www.formerdiamond.com for further information about how the money is made by gettting unsuspecting people to pay out vast sums for "training tools" that get them nowhere.
PM me if anyone needs more info or advice on IBS. Also desperate to hear from anyone who has recovered money back from them0 -

I am an Amivo IBO (independant Business Owner). I have seen some negative posts re Amivo and Amway. Not the first time that I have heard negative remarks. But to be fair what business doesn't receive bad press? In the UK alone Amway (Amivo is the online branch) has been operating since 1973. It is regulated by the DTI, DMA and the DSA. Everybody and their dog has investigated Amway and come up with nothing. Not so as to some distributors. Amway is built through teams of people, Amway do not go direct to market. An individual IBO contracts to Amway for goods and services and sells directly to the public. An IBO can also recruit others to be IBO's to expand the business. All who come in have the same opportunity, whether they take it or not. Now as with any industry Amway has had good and bad people if you have met a dodgy character then your assumption would be that the business was dodgy but if you met me then you have a diferent assumption (I hope!). Amway requires IBO's to train and motivate their teams, that is where the training systems come in. They are optional but do provide benefits for not only the business. Now Networking is similar to a franchise and all franchises have training systems. That is their power, you don't need previous experiance. If you have an issue with Amway then contact them, If you have an issue with the training also contact Amway. The vast majority of active IBO's are honest hardworking and trustworthy. But this business is open to anyone so the odd "geezer" will slip through the net. If you have specifics on any rogue operators then please contact the relevant Networking company as they will take action. Networking is a fantastic business but it is a business. You will have to learn, adapt and work to be successful if you are not willing to do that then you will not succeed so don't fool yourself. Just get in to buy the products if you like the person or the business represented.0

I'm an IBO too. And I'm in IBS. I reached a decent level and was making some money. I've taken a bit of a back seat lately because I do have a few issues. However for my tuppence worth:
It is perfectly legal
It is possible to make money
It isn't easy
It's a great concept
It isn't pyramid selling (whish IS illegal)0 -
i nearly got taken in by amway years ago. 'no money required' and then suddenly they wanted £150 off me and my ex to buy a flip chart. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0

I think we need to differentiate here. To the best of my knowledge, Amway don't sell flip charts.0

As I said in my post, there are dodgy characters everywhere. The Amway code of ethics state quite clearly what you can and can't say. To say it costs nothing is a mis-representation. To be honest though, if you believed that you could start any business for nothing or had been led to believe that then you did well to steer clear. The start up costs are minimal compared to a conventional business and refundable for the first six months if you decide to resign.0
