http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ is much better. It has a much larger food database of common supermarket food and it has an Android app which you can synch online.0

Oh pants, I just input all of my data and the last week of my food diary into Food Focus only to then stumble upon this thread and find that my fitness pal would better suit me. Oh well, time to start again! Thanks for all the useful info everyone.0

I've logged in too to see where I'm going wrong! I'm suffereing from middle aged spread (I'm 46) and a recent weigh-in revealed a horrible 10st 2lbs - heavier by a stone than I've ever been before. I keep pretty active anyway, walking around alot instead of using the bus, caring for my elderly horse (not ridden any more) which means lots of heavy weights to lift, mucking out etc and since I'm skint thanks to her, I don't have money to waste on cakes, biscuits etc and I prefer fruit to puddings anyway. So, I took advantage of a really good gym membership offer at work for 6 months where I do 3 sessions a week (total around 3 hours) and I really flog myself, believe me, plus I swim 40 x 25 m in half an hour once a week and I've recently taken up mountain biking (I used to be a keen cyclist in my pre-horse days). I've reduced my carbs intake to porridge and brown toast in the mornings. Lunch is a large mixed salad with some protein and 3 pieces of fruit, and evening meals range from a bowel of soup, or a packet of noodles, or something like a mackeral fillet with salad. I've not felt hungry once. My alcohol intake is minimal. And after 4 months how much weight have I lost? A measly 2 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know muscle weighs more than fat and I have lost bulk as my jeans are looser, but honestly, its ridiculous and really quite demoralizing since the whole object of the exercise was to lose weight. Instead of looking like a maggot I now look like a slug! Any suggestions anyone? I don't think even total starvation would make any difference and either the scales are rigged (medical grade at the gym) or I'm destined to be 10st for the rest of my life.0

Still got a vote for myfitnesspal website & app. I joined in June and have lost 34lbs, learnt to run, run a 5k race and am aware of making daily food choices. The support network is awesome. And it's all free!!!0
