    Hi All,

It's been a quiet day today and rather cool and grey earlier. I did get up early and write for an hour or so (I write a weekly article for a website) and had that sorted for 8am English time. I then took a cup of coffee back to bed and went back to sleep till 11! Terrible I know, but I did stay up late last night.

I've felt hungry quite a bit today, don't know why. I've had a couple of pieces of fruit as snacks and been very pleased that I don't have any treats in as I'm sure I would have succumbed.

Breakfast: Muesli with skimmed milk and raisins. Pineapple juice.

    Snack: Banana

Lunch: 3 crackers with cheese and cherry tomatoes.

    Snack: Orange

    Drinks: Skimmed milk coffees. Water

Tea: Will be pork chop with potatoes and onion, peas and mushrooms. Yoghurt

Well done all the losers and just keep trying the rest of us.

    Evening ladies :hello:
It's been an ok day today, had my soup for lunch with a wholemeal roll, a pear and some grapes at afternoon break and just had stuffed mushrooms with leek and courgettes. I'll have a yoghurt in a bit and hopefully nothing else tonight :j

Cheerfulness - it's a good site, lots to choose from but I haven't tried anything else yet.

    See you tomorrow ladies :A

    Hi ladies

I have had a really lovely day, but my diet just does not seem to be happening!
I got up at 6am today and did an exercise dvd, then a bowl of sugar puffs, apple, bowl homemade soup and roll, fatsumo followed by a dinner of 2 low fat sausages a small jacket spud and two tblespoons beans. I drank loads of water today and now my ankles look puffy and swollen. Oh well maybe I'll feel sylph like tomorrow.
Badger lady- glad you're feeling great:j
Chloebelle- I'm hoping your positive attitude rubs of on me, you go girl!!:T
MrsM- I get exhausted just reading your posts;)
Nix- sometimes dieting just sucks eh! Luckily there is always next week to prove we work hard at it:rolleyes:
Congrats to the losers and encouragement to the rest of us:D

    Hello all,

I am a newbie to this thread but not to losing weight (finally!) I'm currently following sw and have lost 1st 8lbs so far:T. After reading through the numerous posts on here I feel ready to get everything back to basics though - currently I use a lot of pasta n sauces, flavoured rices, mullerlights and pre -wrapped biscuits (obviously within syn values). Have to admit that these are things I would NOT feed my children and I make a point of not reading the ingredients!
Everything else that we eat as a family is HM even our bread since starting the grocery challenge.
It will be small changes this month as I have just had my monthly shop and with it all of the above in bulk and not wanting to waste things I will use it up but would like to start getting inspiration to make small changes now and start as I mean to go on in march.

    Sorry it's a bit long

  • miech - Welcome on board. :D

I don't know the SW ways but others on here are following it but using the OS methods so you'll be in good company. ;)

And well done at you loss, too. :T

If you get time to read back you'll find some lovely recipes and tips. My favourite and most useful was to use portion caution and ban nothing. A whole new concept to me but working really well so far. :j

The others will be along shortly to say hi I'm sure. ;)

Ohh chloe - nearly forgot to say... glad the first days going so well and very sensible attitude not to worry about your weight now. Just enjoy planning the food. :D

Dinner tonight.. 9 chicken dippers, a forkful of lamb (because I don't really like it) and now I am hankering food..

  • Hi all,

Hope you've got space for a rather large newbie :o

I'm going to fess up as i think it might be therapeutic - Im 17 stone 7.5 and a size 20 (22 on a bad day)

My weight LBM came in June 2005 when i tipped the scales at 21 stone. I lost 3 1/2 stone through SW, a little WW and a little bit of restraint (although obviously not much!) For the 18 months i've hit a stumbling block and have been unable to stick to weight loss goals.

I don't eat meat or fish, and my weaknesses are chocolate, crisps, bread and cheese. I love to bake, but always tend to make sweet things :o

I really, really would like to be a slim size 14 or even 12 if im being optimistic. I don't want to be a fat mum and wife, and i don't want to have to struggle to do up my work trousers. My work uniform is unflattering enough without extra rolls of fat and huge thighs rubbing together.

Anyway, sorry for waffling. Just wanted to let you know i would like to be here for the duration if you'll have me!!

    Thanks to
MRSMCAWBER and cheerfulness4 for letting me know about this great thread!

Back and ready to save some money! :D
