beemuzed.. love and hugs coming your way.. even when you know it is a blessing for the person who is gone it doesn't make it any less painful for us left behind to remember them.

    breakfast.. cocopops..
lunch... hmmm.. well.. breakfast was at 1pm..
Dinner tonight I have a lump of gammon which I'm doing with new potatoes and veggies... I don't like it very much so will only have a small bit.

    Hello ladies :hello:
Gosh I've been busy today :j I got up at 6am 'cos of OH's snoring  and made a huge pan of carrot and coriander soup and an aubergine and chickpea stew for the freezer. Then I cooked us a breakfast - poached eggs, mushrooms and oatmeal and polenta pancakes.

Quick visit to the allotment to take the compost and buy eggs then to the garden centre where we got a bargain mini greenhouse thingie and some cheap potato bags:D I need somewhere to put all his seedlings, the grandkids are staying in a couple of weeks and the spare room is full of sprouting things

Back home for some of the carrot soup and a bit of HM bread then I made a huge pile of sweet potato and lentil burgers and 2 shepherdess pies - one with bubble and squeak topping and the other with herby polenta topping :DSo I'm now organised for the rest of the week (and a bit more) and the freezer is groaning :rotfl:
OH is making cakes now:mad:  Cheerfulness - he's good at baking but he's still in my bad books :naughty:

Tea will be HM veggie haggis with dry roasties and veg and tonight I will have a glass of wine, I deserve it!

Last nights veggie sausage and lentil stew was nice, I had a yoghurt for pud then just a glass of wine during the evening.

Bemused - sorry about your loss :grouphug: my Mum died a couple of years ago after a horrible illness so I know how you feel.

Sallyrsm - hello  I have soaked oats quite often. I soak them overnight in soya milk (cow's milk or fruit juice works) sometimes I add a few raisins and other times I top with berries, I prefer them to porridge and they are filling, which is what we all need :rotfl:

Frogga - I'm going to allow a few treats but I'm not going to binge, it's impossible to ban everything and it doesn't do you any good either :T
Hope everyone else is having a good day, see you tomorrow folks :A

    Afternoon everyone,
I've had a productive day, I woke up at 8ish and had a kind of 2nd lightbulb moment  I guess with some of us it takes a while to sink in, although I have been playing with this site for a while and know the theory my practical application of said gained knowledge is rubbish! ( very like losing weight this:rolleyes:)
Anyway I think I've been inspired by pigpens signature so I ran to the pc made a realistic (tell that to my three teenage daughters;)) three year plan. That done I had a bowl of sugar puffs and went back to bed :p all those calculations wore me out. After a spot of reading and a little doze I have been superwoman around the house tidying up for my flylady debut (don't want them thinking I'm a !!!!!!:o)
Lunch was HM Broc/stilton soup (youngest daughter says cheese soup is just wrong!)
Dinner is what I call Frannie Chicken a recipe given to me by my friend, everything goes in the oven chook, potatos and other veg for a couple of hours whilst you retreat to the pub with the Sunday paper :D
Tomorrow I'm getting up early to do an exercise DVD before work, I'm going to eat healthily, stick to my budget, and fly- Frogga I'm serious about Fab feb :A
    Love to all

    Afternoon again all.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch out, sitting by the harbour overlooking the yachts. I had rib eye steak in a black pepper sauce with slow roasted tomatoes and rosemary potatoes. I also had some of OH's vegetables, which were carrots and cauliflower cheese. I gave him most of my potatoes in return so was pretty good, although I did have 2 Cokes. We both resisted puddings though.

Since we got back we've been for a walk along the beach. We were going to do the short, quick version but is was so lovely walking by the water's edge we carried on a bit further so I can feel as though I walked off some of the lunch. I shall just have an orange and maybe a yoghurt later on so it won't have been too naughty.

    hi all

i doubt you reember me, but i posted a few times on the old thread. Well, I am celebrating today, as I am now back down to my pre-baby weight. :j :j

I was a size 24 for years - and when I got married, but lost 3.5 stone before getting pregnant (IVF but only if I lost weight was a real motivator).
Youngest is now 2.5 and I am back in my size 14 jeans (but the size 16 are a bit tight:rolleyes: )

So in the last 5 months I have lost 2.5 stone - this includes a 3 week holiday to Thailand (lost 1 lb) and I havn't been to the gym for 2 months.

I am mostly doing this through healthy eating and exercise - back to the gym tomorrow.

I am trying to eat a hight protein low carb diet as this seems to work for me, but I am still managing a fair few treats. A lady I share an office with is on lighterlife, she as lost the same amount in about the same time, but only on packet mix drinks - no real food  , I know some can do this but not me.

So any tips for protein rich meals please (still need to be low fat though), I have a boiled egg most days for breakfast and chicken salad for lunch.

Does anyone know how to get cheaper smoked fish I could have with my salad for lunch. M&S have a really nice smoked salmon salad I have eaten a few times, but the price of ready to eat fish was a bit much when I looked today. I did buy some as I am trying to eat more fish.

I am half following an eating plan by a world famous bodybuilder, who is less then 10% fat. The main theme seems to be motivation - set a goal and believe you can do it, to eat things in moderation - that are not over processed, and exercise. I think he may fit in on here.

Hopefully I will post again soon - my short term goal is to lose 7 lbs by Easter.

    Hugs to all

saversarn .. believe me.. my house is the worst on there by far so you only have to compete against me in the pigsty stakes!

I have spent a small fortune on fruit today.. which may last 2-3 days knowing this lot.. but they have no fatsumos!!!! How will I survive?

I had 2 small slices of gammon with 6 new potatoes and a few mushrooms for dinner.. everyone else got salad!

    W/I this morning........didn't want to look.........but........5lbs down!sport-smiley-5591.gif

It feels sooooooooo good to finally say that I've lost something intentionally:D

So that makes me 2lb short of the 14/02 challenge; half way to my mini target, & definately heading in the right direction for the Feb Challenge.:T

Q....If I put hm bolognaise sauce into pancakes & cover with hm cheese sauce, would that be classed as a healthy-ish meal?

Keep up the good work folks, but let's remember that 'Slow & Easy Wins the Race', particularly when outside forces are working against us.:o

  • 5lbs!! Delighted for you BF. Well done. :T

Personally I would be very happy with the sp pancakes meal. Everything in moderation is my motto, never forgetting 'portion caution.' ;) I'd be tempted to have some salad with it... love that hot and cold thing. :D

hgbels - well done on getting back to pre- baby weight. ;)

Going to make some naan bread today for dinner. Not done this before but I've wanted to in ages.
Saved some chicken from the roast and making a curry to go with them.
Also saved a few bits of chicken to make something to go in pitta bread for lunch one day. Getting so good at this freezing l/o's lark. :D

I realise that some kind of moisture is best with them so I was thinking of trying to make coronation chicken (like tescos sandwich filler which I loved  ). Then fill with salad, too. Will have to experiment as not made CC before. Hmm would this filling be better in pittas or tortillas. Got a lot in my lap last time I tried the latter. :o

Rockie - like the sound of those sweet potato and lentil burgers. Would love to know how you make them. ;)

    Food today:

    Weetabix
Pea & ham soup (DS1 is ladling his way through it. :D )
Not sure about dinner... OH and DS1 are off work ill today. :j Bad that they're poorly but love that they're home. :D

Think I'll have a ham salad with some of my own cooked gammon. I've some celery & nut salady gloop reduced from Mr T's that I love, so will have that, too.

Think I'll declare this a long weekend and x-stitch and bake today for the freezer.

Keep going everyone and all the best for this weeks weigh- ins. ;)
