    Hi All,

Sorry to hear you are having a bad day Frogga. Remember tomorrow is always a fresh start. Today is supposed to be the worst day of the year for most people so just think, it can only get better from now on.

I feel almost guilty saying I've had a lovely day now. The sun has been shining and the beach was wonderful this evening. We saw a flock of flamingoes flying over the sea into the sun which was one of those special moments you sometimes get.

The walk yesterday obviously did some good as I felt a slight ache in some of my muscles when I got up. Today's walk was more gentle as OH's knee is playing up again.

Had a good day foodwise too.

    Breakfast: the usual muesli etc.

Lunch: the usual crackers etc - I am not very adventurous am I?

    Snacks: orange and an apple

Tea: Minced beef and rice. I cooked lots of vegetables in the rice; mushrooms, pepper, onions, leeks and the leftovers in a bag of mixed frozen vegetables so cutting down on the amount of rice I ate. Followed by a natural yoghurt mixed with lemon juice and a teaspoon of sugar.

I've been filling a 500ml plastic bottle with water each day and making sure I drink it by the end of the day too.

Weigh day tomorrow. I do hope I have lost some this week.

When i did that with my liquidiser the top was forced off and it went everywhere! all up the cupboards, walls, ceiling and me(no injuries) have never trusted the liquidiser since and use my stick blender instead which does a great job - even when hot!

that's what happened to me too.. this time I added a little bit then gradually tipped the rest in while it was going.. it is only the initial start up that flicked it everywhere

Hi all. I hope Frogga and everyone else who's feeling down today have a better day tomorrow. I'm struggling a bit myself today. I managed to put back on those 3 pounds I lost the week before last:rotfl:. Back where I started I guess. Today I've had weetabix, lentil soup with 2 bagels (really didn't need the second bagel but gave into greed grrr) and baked potatoes with lentils for dinner. I did 30 mins brisk walking too. Not too bad, but I'm seriously tempted to have a glass of wine. I also have a pack of angel delight in the cupboard which is calling to me (I know, I know, it's really revolting but I do like it). Which is worse, a glass of 2 of wine or a bowl or 2 of angel delight?:eek:

Lunch was 2 slices of Hm bread -toasted with laughing cow squeezy and an apple

and dinner was steamed fish, HM parsley sauce, mash, carrots and peas..

I was going to have a slice of fresh bread with butter -but im sat here talking to you lovely lot instead;)

Well my mum has given WW the "heave ho" :T After another meal (the night before weigh in)of salad with a smidge of salad cream and we are talking -lettuce, cumber and tomato here (which is far from being a salad)
She has finally decided that enough is enough so her, sis and niece are using superdrugs scales and doing it themselves...and mum is putting the £5 away for herself :D
She started on Thursday and is allready feeling much better, happier and more relaxed about her food -and is eating much better :j -its contagious :j

    Evening all

Firstly big hugs to those who need them and congrats to those who have lost. Have had a good day today and am trying like mad to resist the dry roasted peanuts that are calling me from the cupboard but I think I may succumb and poor myself a small bowlful and enjoy them.

    Tomorrows menu is
    Breakfast: Fruit and Fibre
    snack: fruit
    lunch: baked potato and cheese
    dinner: vegetable curry and rice

work tomorrow and then three days off. My aim this week is to have a half hours exercise on weds, thurs and Fri so fingers crossed I will have the motivation to do it.

    Have a good evening all.
  • Congrates to Nix on a very impressive loss. Well done you! :T

Frogga - its just the january grumps, you'll do this. ;)

Hope you're alright now too Caterina. I've had to fly through the posts but I noticed you were having a bad day too (was it only yesterday).

Can't help noticing that many of us were doing really well last week and then this week the blues have hit many. What happened? We must need spring.

Stuck to my plan well and chose sweet and sour chicken with rice for my tea, after finding a portion I'd frozen tucked in the bottom drawer.

Nasty moment when DS1 offered to buy us all a takeaway (didn't like look of sausage rolls). I nearly morphed into a rottweiller and shamed him with his thoughtlessness. Last month I'd have had the engine revving before he'd got his wallet out.

Had an iced finger from the batch I made earlier and I really enjoyed it. Half the size I would normally have made and twice as delicious. :D Oh and found a low sugar version of my beloved bara brith. Am in heaven.

Take care girls and guys, tomorrows another day. ;)

    Hya folks

Forgot to post food for the day earlier, too ashamed!:

B: Special K, dried berries, Soya milks + OJ
S: 2 small squares of flapjacks ...well I was recovering from my 10km on the bike!
L: Baked pot, with innards mixed with v low fat cream cheese and cherry toms (left over from yesterday's lunch), plus cucumber. Clementine
S: 1 heel of HM bread toasted with butter and HM blackcurrant jam! :D
T: Small amount of Sweet'n'sour chicken (Homepride "diet" sauce), extran onions and peppers, with instant noodles...mmmmm!

Not very good today...so I won't tell you about the HM chocolate sponge pudding (6 mins in microwave) and HM chocolate sauce!!!!:eek: Now that was very good...if very naughty! :rotfl:

In my defence, I didn't have as much as I "normally" would have had, and I did make both the sauce and pudding with less sugar and marg, but more cocoa. We even have some left, now covered up in the fridge. I am not sure if I will resist it tomorrow though, perhaps I will take it to my neighbour, she is 87 and loves chocolate puddings!

There, I have confessed all...don't know what came over me today, a definite carb craving day.:mad:

I have been busy trying to finish my college work...not very successful. Was nearly finished it, when I looked at it and decided I had not really written what was required. I will wait and read it again tomorrow morning and see if I still think the same...aaargh! I have done too much work, so all I need to do is take out the bits I do need and write it coherently, then email to tutor...if our modem is behaving that is! We have a new modem now, which is much faster, but it had a few hiccups today, I blame the rain...we often have problems when it is really wet.

Off to bed now, tomorrow must be a better day! Well after I have been to the dentist first thing that is!

Well done losers and tryers all, Frogga that includes you ! because even by coming on here you ARE trying and doing something about it, even though you might feel like you're failing. There are just some times that are harder than others and this is one of them. MrsM, good to hear your mum/sis/niece have become OS weightlosers ! the board permeates even indirectly, LOL ! and they'll be able to treat themselves to something nice with their savings.

pigpen, glad to hear you made some edible soup, its possible, I swear :p I cannot emphasise this enough, STICK BLENDERS 4 TEH WIN !!! cheap, easy to use, easy to clean, SAFE, I used to hate using blenders because of that same blurty squirty accident tendency but I <3 my stick blender !! I know, I still haven't done the soup thing ... I have a rotten work week ahead and once thats over with I'll set to it.

I'm feeling a bit more cheerful even though I've had a rough day. I haven't eaten optimally ( mainly bananas, ham, ricecakes, tinned sausage n beans bit of salad and a couple of reduced fat hot cross buns ) but I avoided disaster ! I walked into KFC - walked out again. Walked into chip shop - walked out again. Walked into corner shop full of rubbish food - walked out again. Yahoo ! money, self esteem and calories saved !
