Morning all!
where's frogga today? hope she's ok!
not feeling too great today so far, dizzy and sick so I have just forced some wholemeal toast down to see if it helps, usually stops me feeling sick.
Good advice from MRSM about not banning anything - if you do you will only want it more! I usually say to myself that I can have anything but i choose not to eat it at the moment !
food plans today are
wholemeal toast and marmalade
SW HIFI bar/mini banana
lentil and veggie soup
lowfat yoghurt
HM veggie quiche SW chips and salad
Have a good day all. will pop back to catch up later xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Got my chavvy pants on already so I don't have to get changed before I do my HHe.. halfway there already see!!

Hi everyone, thank you so much for all your kind words of support :T and special thanks to saversarn, meanmarie and especially MrsM :A , I feel a lot more positive this morning. I WILL get there, I WILL!
I have a rough day at work ahead (very difficult client) but at least I know she is coming in so I can plan accordingly. I need to think of a really nice non-food treat to look forward to tonight - don't suggest a bubble bath as being of a....ahem .....'larger build' it is not the relaxing experience I want :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a great day, looking forward to catching up here again tonight.0 -
Dumpling - pleased to see you're feeling a bit more up to par today. You're right, you will get there.... we will all keep each other going.
I too would agree don't ban anything. The only thing I would add is that I do have a couple of foods that flip me over the edge and thats crisps and HM bread.
The freezer deals with the bread, slice & freezer as soon as poss, and I don't keep crisps in the house. I DO have crisps, tho.
Not very MS but I buy just one single packet at a time of the flavour I most fancy. They're out of lunch boxes now altogether as the lads weren't bothered.
Its amazing that since deciding this, I've only bought one packet in 3 weeks.
When I'm properly hungry it seems its the healthier stuff I fancy by and large. Bit of a revelation that. Shame I didn't pick up on that earlier.
I should really c & p MrsMc's post for my next :wall: moment. We seem to have all reached the same conclusions but need it in black and white before us when the dreaded blues set in.
Anyway :grouphug: to you and Taplady -hope you both feel all better soon.
Plan for today:
Readybrek (had, yum)
HM chicken & veg soup & slice HM bread
Tea - not sure.
Lads are wanting sausage rolls, chips and beans but I've no fancy for them so I'll have to have a think. I might go with a spanish omelette and salad.
Hope Frogga is doing okay. She's very quiet. Missing the dry humour.
BTW dumpling - bubble baths are not quite what they were for me either. However, I've developed this nifty little manouvre for getting in and out which has been formulated over several month and actually draws and audience now. Got it off to an art form now.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Morning all.
How many pages are there to catch up on since Friday... can you just keep it short please :rotfl: - Just kidding!!
Laughed reading about the body shapes. I once went down to 8 st (at 5ft 5 not that great an idea ) Still couldn't get into a size 10 coz I'm just too broad shouldered and hipped!!! Always said I'd need ribs removed but even that wouldn't help as it's my shoulders too
Didn't do too bad over the weekend. Went on a short walk to the shops to get bananas for OH - coming back is all uphill though so nearly had to crawl!!
Nicked a couple (4) of choc biscuits out the tin but amazingly didn't carry on and empty the whole tin full!!
Got on scales on Sat and have lost another lb - so that's 3lb gone this year so far. Still planning on going for my lunch time walk as it seems to be making a difference, not just to the scales, but to how baggy my jeans are!
Took a couple of nice skirts to my mum to as if it's possible to take em in a bit as they are too big and she thinks so. The cord jeans are a nope though - too much effort and since I bought em new on ebay and only wore them twice they can go back there - when I get round to it
frogga - can sympathise about the money - I have 70p to last till friday and OH will want milk later this week - so no chance for any treats.
Have a good day all!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Right.. HHE 10:30-11 anyone?? I need some motivation to get off my butt this morning.. I REALLY want to fling stuff out but it is too damp and gloomy.. so I'll do the HHE (half hour exercise!) and that should spur me into action.. in theory!
I marched to school pushing the pushchair with 2 of them in/on .. it is pouring and it kept tiddles dry and meant dd4 could ride on so we could walk faster. 10 minutes VERY brisk walking.. then I marched back at a slightly reduced rate.
Had myself a banana (and the resultant bellyache) for breakfast.. and 2 cuppas.. and have salmon stir fry planned for dinner tonight.. my meal plan is a day off already as I went out last night!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning all! I have had quite a good weekend.Relaxing with the boys and did some baking.Sausage rolls and chesse rolls, they are for Sam(my 2year old) and I only had a wee taste(or 2 or was that 3?).Had to make sure I wasn't feeding my child anything that tasted awful.:D
Today I have had Weetabix and an apple.Lunch is leftover chicken pasta and dinner should be duck with oranges and curly kale.
Had yummy choc puddind last night, been craving choc all week and have gone with the good advice here of MODERATION so just on a Sunday.
Saying that there is still an extra portion in the fridge.
Hope we all have a good day.0 -
Morning ladies & gents :hello: Am exhausted today, finished my shifts at 7am this morning and I'm not due back at work 'til Friday but and I don't want to waste my time off by sleeping so matchsticks are at the ready. But I'm in my jimjams just in case
Starting to feel the benefits of eating better, I'm feeling generally less tired, my skins better & I haven't felt the effects of my IBS for over 2 weeks now (TMI?)
I've been pretty good since I last posted, not eaten anything bad, last night I had porridge when I first got to work, some HM mushroom soup around 3am and more porridge (with honey & raisins) when I got home this morning, as well as snacking on raisins, apricots, pistachios, HM houmous & dipped veg, and 2 slices of bread. All good stuff.
However, whilst the virtous angel was busy munching away on my right shoulder, the naughty cigerette devil popped up on the left and demanded to be satisfied tooHe was stronger than me. I hadn't listened to him for about a week (oddly enough, coinciding with the last I was at work ) and ended up given in to his demands around 4am this morning.
Today will probably be more soup for lunch and I fancy thai green chicken curry for dinner and I've got yoghurts and bananas and clementines for the inbetween bits.
Anyway, I hope you're all well & to taplady and others who are feeling a bit rubbish this morning, I hope you feel much better soon.

Morning everyone
I haven't got yesterday's food diary at work, so can't post the details, but was much better on the snacking, although didn't drink nearly enough.
Made a nice soup:
1 tsp olive oil, 1 onion, 2 carrots, 1/2 cup red lentils, garlic, 1 tsp ground coriander, 1 1/2 pints stock - simmered, then blitzed in blender - really creamy hmmmm - serves 6 I reckon, working on two ladles each.
dumpling - some good advice from Mrs M. I wish I knew how to control binges too. Once I've fallen off the wagon, I can't seem to put it behind me and move on, just give up completely until I start again. It's a nightmare. I will concur with the others that zero tolerance just doesn't work for me. I try to plan 'treats' rather than give in to a craving, because then I feel in control. That might be worth trying with your weakness foods. Also, keeping a food diary is a very good control. Even if you don't post it on here, as long as you're honest with yourself about everything you've eaten that day, it does act as a brake when considering binging.
