Try to find eggs that are from chickens not fed fishmeal or oil . Most of the bigger supermarket chains cheaper eggs (battery or barn) use fishmeal to feed the hens , the only food retailer I know of that doesn't is M&S and most organic eggs are not from fishmeal fed hens. Some supermarket free range ones are from fishmeal fed hens , the only way to be sure is to ask the retailer.
I'd heard about that but I buy free-range eggs from our allotment shop and I've never had a problem before they're usually really nice eggs. I'm hoping it was a 'one off' ..............might skip the cooked breakfast tomorrow though0 -
Evening all, I don't pop in daily due to time. Have been mostly behaving myself apart from tonight, 3 mini doughnuts. Managed to get my partner to try some salad last week, some he ate which was good. I do love salads but tend not to buy much because I am pretty much the only one who eats it, so being able to share encourages me to buy it. Collecting a book from freecycle on hot & spicy and Mexican cookery on Monday night, it's something I have managed to get DP in to and some of it is healthier like the fajitas with salsa etc.
I've eventually decided on my first target, loose 30lb before I am 30.............I've got until mid August.....how I am going to do it I don't know. I have a pile of good intentions which end up dropping off. However, in my shed is a trampoline for exercise and I found the DVD I bought to go with it today, DPs new cross trainer arrives on 24th I think he said and he can't use it because he's hurt his ankle again, so I think I will have to test it for him.
Today for us - museli for breakfast with a dash of milk, late lunch (breakfast was later today as I had a sleep in) was fajitas made with 2 chicken breasts, 2 peppers, 1 onion, salsa and 6 small tortillas. Late dinner bacon sandwich (1/4 stottie and 2 slices bacon) 2 coffees (something I have reduced a lot) SF cordial, 1 can sprite zero and water. Oh then those 3 mini HM douhgnuts....ooops.One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Hi Sarah,
Welcome on board, fairly new here myself but it's really helpful.
Good luck x0 -
Hi All,
Not as early as it might seem as we are an hour ahead here in Spain.
Changed my meal plans for last night and had pasta with bacon, mushrooms, onions and a spoonful of low fat cheese. I then had a cappucino dessert that OH had smuggled into the shopping for me as a treat! I'd decided to forego treats this week but he thought it would be a nice surprise! They come in pairs too so I have another one for tonight.
Meal plans for today.
Breakfast: muesli etc, pineapple juice, banana.
Lunch: not sure but probably crackers with Camembert and cherry tomatoes and an apple.
Dinner: Pork chop, broccoli, leeks and mushrooms with a small helping of potato and onion. Second cappucino dessert.
Snacks: Orange
We are planning a longer walk today - exploring further along the beach and round the headland. It involves lots of scrambling on rocks and steep slopes so should use up the calories.
Sorry to hear about all the bad weather in the UK. We are having superb weather here - lots of sunshine and up to 20C in the shade yesterday with better promised for today. I shall be definitely spending some of the day lying in the sunshine with a book.
Keep up the good work,

Hi All,
Sorry to hear about all the bad weather in the UK.
Rose
Whoever told you that... I had my bikini on yesterday.
Feeling bit ick today, hence being out of bed at this time. I'm wondering if its the change in the foods I'm eating. While they are clearly healthier, I'm eating lots more fruit & veg and I'm not sure I've adjusted to it yet. :undecided
Food plan today:
Boiled egg & HM seedy bread fingers (if tummy settles)
HM chicken casserole in a Yorkie with veg
Not sure about tea..... maybe salad sandwich.
Wecome Sazzies- You'll get lots of support and inspiration from this thread. I know I have.
Away to mop the floors before everyone wakes as the cat seems to have danced on every sq inch with her muddy paws. Anyway, need the exercise. :rolleyes:MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Off to Sainsbugs this morning with only £30 that has to last until Feb 8th ! Have a freezer and pantry full of food but need to get the fresh stuff like milk and fresh fruit and veg et.c. I can see myself having to open my seeled pot at this rate  So you can see I really cant afford to buy binge food , or any treat at all! Hope this makes me stop!
Have a good day all, might have to bake some buns later for the tadpoles lunches, hope I dont eat any! xxxxxxxxxxxxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Not a bad day yesterday, even though a guest left behind a pack of jaffa cakes from the night before. I asked Oh to get them for me as I was sitting down to a nice cup of tea and a film and his response was "Are you sure"?
Imagine the ensuing hormonal rage from the pregnant woman who wanted her biccies.I felt rather silly afterwards
Still, I only had 4 rather than the whole pack. The rest of the day was as follows:
Breakfast - banana, satsuma, porridge
lunch - leftover mushroom and leek pasta
dinner - homemade beanburgers with potato wedges and veg.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
Morning all
hello to the newbies
Hubby left for golf at stupid o'clock again this morning  ..so i had a bit of a lie in (again):p
I have had a big raspberry yoghurt for brekkie- lunch -well when hubby gets back is going to be some pork, veg n barlyey casserole(rescued from the freezer) with steamed potatoes, broccoli and carrots
- tea -will probably be toast and poached egg -have a new loaf of bread under way .... but if lunch is late i will probably opt for a yoghurt and an apple instead;)
This OS weightloss is doing wonders for my shopping budget ... im at the end of week 3 in the January GC and for the whole month so far I have spent the grand sum of €49.69 :j and have enough cleaning and toiletry products, milk, Bread flour, tea, coffee, dilute etc to last through February at least. I had cut our budget down to €200 a month but if i can spend less and bank more then wooohooo and hubby hasn't even noticed any difference :rotfl: I mentioned it to him yesterday and apparently "no, im still getting great meals and there is stuff if i want anything else" RESULT :T .... the only thing missing are the snicky snacky snoos i used to get him -that he ate because they were there. So now he is losing weight and not missing them either .....
I have sorted through my clothes and have decided that i want to ebay them -but as i have changed email and home address it is easier said than done  I have tried to change my details but its putting up a fight  ... i have quite a bit of stuff that has never been worn and figure i may as well get rid -as i AM NOT going to need them again. Im also toying with selling my automatic pasta maker -you chuck the ingredients in, it mixes then you have an extruder on the end and the dough is forced through (like a playdough machine
) it has 10 different shapes... i really really wanted one... but have only used it twice since:o ... trying to convince myself....will see if i can do it as i figure i can free up some cupboard space and shove some extra cash in the bank...
ok im rambling -will get off and get some sewing done
hope everyone has a great day..keep at it folks -not long until valentines day now -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Thats what I did too, but I gave mine to my Mum and sister who are both a bit bigger than me!My reasoning is that if my clothes get too tight I'm going to have to lost the weight again rather than fit in the bigger clothes!:D
Frogga - hope you get what you want in Sainsbugs;)
Got a busy day again today but am determined to do some cooking, lentil and veggie soup and also some yorkies for tea to go with my roasted veggies.Need to make a loaf in the BM and also wanted to make DS1 a cake to take back with him if i can fit it all in!

soup(HM lentil and veggie) seeded roll
low fat yoghurt or banana
roasted veggies - sweet spud. butternut squash, red onion, parsnip, spuds, and also some yorkies and a few mixed frozen veg too!

Morning all
Wasn't too bad again yesterday although ate too much bread - OH brought home a yummy bloomer
I know that bread is a big trigger food for me so I'll try and limit the amount that I eat.
Rockie4 - have you got that Strictly Come Dancecize DVD cause I was thinking about getting it? Is it any good?
Will exercise more today - am just going to go on the crosstrainer for a bit (and put Sex and the City on to distract me from being out of breath)
I must stay away from bread today........
I must stay away from bread today........
I must stay away from bread today........if I say it enough, do you think I'll get the message?I'd rather be watching CSI!0
