    Morning all.
Haven't tried any diet plate - just went for the dish up what I usually would... then put a large serving spoon full back in the pot!! ;)

Didn't have porridge today - didn't fancy it and even though I've eaten my sarnie, and an apple I'm hungry :(

Will go out later for my walk, even in the rain

Tea is chicken casserole in slow cooker (on low today after yesterday's sausage mush we got home to when I forgot to turn it back to low) :D
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • 1st day of D*** - went ok. Pigpen challenged me to a HalfHourExercise on the Flylady thread so went on my crosstrainer yesterday and did a 40 exercise DVD this morning.

    Yesterday had:-
    B cereal, milk, blueberry juice
L 2 fishcakes, sweet chilli sauce and big salad
D hm pasta with ham, boiled egg and mustard mayo with salad
    apple
Treat - 1 bite of choc brownie

Have decided to keep track by planning more and making more stuff myself and when I go back to work tomorrow will take all my food with me and leave purse at home so have no choice but to eat it.

Will have to blow dust off my cookbooks and learn some healthier recipes.
Good start anyway and thanks for all the welcomes :hello:
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

    Afternoon all,

Lost 2 lbs...now 'down' to 14st 3 lbs!! Very pleased but really not sure about my scales....weight up or down seems to depend on which foot you put on first....right weight down, left no change! Tried scales in other bathroom and it says I weigh 13 st 10 lbs...will take my own scales and right foot first to be correct for the moment!

Good news is that all the Christmas stuff is gone, except for the tin of biscuits still in wrapping, not a great biscuit fan so no big problem there.

Got up late so have had brunch of apple and baked beans on toast...not sure yet what is for dinner, need to go to Lidl for some well priced juice, flour etc.

Anyone got an idea that might make Shredded Wheat palatable?? Bought some ages ago but not very fond of it so wonder if there is anything which might make it edible so that I can eat it rather than feed the birds...OH normally buys the bird food!

    Hi all,

Well I stuck to my plans yesterday but added a small bowl of cereal at suppertime. I am not making any headway with the black coffee, am really not enjoying it. I usually have a tiny cup with made with all milk but skimmed so only about 40 calories so think I will just stick with that and make sure I drink plenty of water alongside it so I don't get thirsty.

It's been absolutely beautiful warm sunny weather here today, even though January is supposed to be the rainy season. I've been lying on the patio with a book and listening to the Archers on the computer. Bliss! I'm just about to go for a walk along the beach for our usual hour. It's really steep on the way back to the apartment so hard work, but hopefully very beneficial.

Breakfast: Cereal, skimmed milk, raisins, pineapple juice.

Lunch: Had a late breakfast so only a banana and a milky coffee.

Tea: Egg and chips with mushrooms (again) as we've not done the shopping and that's all we have in. Shall stock up again tomorrow. Unfortunately, neither of us like salads so even though it's warm we won't be eating them.

    Snacks: Orange

Drinks: Water with meals, milky coffees made with 100ml of skimmed milk.

Weigh in should be on Monday so fingers crossed for then.

Rather rough at the moment, can't shift the cough. However DD1 is coming for the weekend, which will be nice. I'm drinking hot water and lemon/honey and keeping warm. Can't face food at present.
Must get better as I'm off to India in two weeks time to stay with my friend Frankie and I don't want to go with a cough!!

Well done to all those losers today.:T:T
I have joined you at last...3 pounds off!:j
Only 4 pounds to go for the Valentines Day Challenge...It will be 5 weeks for me from last Friday to the 15th, so I might try that...who knows how much I will manage to lose by then!

I have not done as much exercise this week as I had planned, as my back has been rather bad. Saw the chiro today and he was wonderful, hopefully I will be back to doing lots of exercise by Monday. So in the meantime I just have to concentrate on eating less....aaargh!

Like Mrs M and others, I am also having a go at the GC challenge (must update my sig soon), which fairly concentrates the mind and makes shopping a bit of a game. How sad am I, finding a fantastic savoy cabbage at Aldi for 39p and jumping for joy.....there is no hope!!

Off for a wee lie down before doing a big bake...there are no muffins/flapjacks/biscuits in the house at all! My 2 teenage DSs will be bereft and very hungry if I don't get a move on and get some made before they get back from school. Perhaps I should be getting the boys to make them!

    Food for today:

    B: Special K, Soya mik + OJ
    S: Go-ahead cereal bar
L: 1 slice HM bread toasted slightly and spread with extra light cream cheese, with toms and cucumber...mmmmmm
    S: Clementine
T: HM pizza...reduced tinned toms with some salami and garlic sausage (reduced), topped with cheese, with cabbage on the side

Having the bread and butter pudding using HM bread heels tonight, as I didn't get around to making it last night.
