Hello again. Baking and eating and watching ER are done so I am back. Now have a lovely fresh loaf of wholegrain bread in the cupboard for lunches tomorrow.

MrsM - I tried that gyros recipes tonight. Not as good as the brought ones but pretty nice all the same. Worked well as meat loaf as well for the less adventurous members of my family. Most of us had it with HM flatbreads, tzatziki, salad and chips. I only had a few chips tho. And the lamb mince was reduced from sainsburys so not to expensive. :T

Exercise today was umm..not a lot. Went to the detist (have to have three more fillings. Althogh JSA means i get them free, unemployment has to have some perks at least :rotfl: ), nipped in to sainsburys then to see my grandma. Apart from that I've just been pottering round the house, cooking and resisting the urge to bang the grusome twosomes heads together! I've resisted most of the snacks so far tho. Even tho the ferrero rocher are looking very tempting. Lucky they're mums so I can't scoff the lot :A

Weigh in tomorrow so I'm off to bed before I give in to the munchies
    I'm through accepting limits
    'Cuz someone says they're so
    Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!

    Morning ladies and gents :D

3lb gone  so thats 4st 2lbs in 23 weeks....happy happy happy _party_ .... right now to focus on the valentine challenge -3 weeks left!

    Today will be:-
    • brekkie 2 slices HM bread-toasted, with low fat cream cheese
    • dinner is chicken salad with steamed potatoes
    • lunch -not quite sure yet :p
    • and im sure at least 2 apples will be in there somewhere -oh and a peach melba yoghurt mmmmmmmmm
Alibow - you WERE desperate for that gyros weren't you? -if you have tried that recipe allready :rotfl: . Im not normaly a fan -but the place we have found does them that are stunning and not the least bit greasy :T I think I have had 2 possibly 3 whilst we have been here -but i think its more enjoyable when its not a regular thing:D
I forgot until you mentioned it, that I have some seasoning mixes for making sausages -and 1 i have is "gyros" -so i may have to make some "gyros sausages" when i make the next lot of sausages for the freezer :p hopefully all the flavour with less fat :j

Recovering spendaholic... that looks like a lovely recipe... going to use that one if you don't mind :D ... another one for hubbies collection;)

Kittyscarlett -it must be contagious.. i was really pooped yesterday too.. fell asleep on the sofa a couple of times...and felt really thrrrrrrrpppp all day  . Still hopefully today i will have a little more life in me  .

Im with you on the salads..and hubby is just as bad -He loves salad and would quite happily live on them :j . In fact jacket potato, cottage cheese and salad is one of our faves  . I love raw cabbage, swede, celeriac, kohlrabi etc too..... quite often use white cabbage finely shredded instead or as well as lettuce -takes much more chewing;) . Although I have a strange habbit -I make a mixed salad, but then have to "un-mix" it on my plate and sort it into piles (don't know why:o ) but it takes even longer to eat it :rotfl: and don't get me started on stir fry -yes -I do it with that too :rotfl:

Orpheus... the lengths some people will go to -not to eat their porridge :rotfl:
Im affraid im one of the "love porridge" briggade :p . That fish sounded nice - Im quite fond of pesto and haddock is my fave white fish -mmmmm

Well I think my mission for today is to sit on my behind and get some more of my mums xmas pressie x stitched :T

I have decided that doing the grocery challenge along side this one is a real help... I stay out of the shops to save money, which means less temptation. Plus I also think of food in terms of "how much money i would be eating" and it seems to really make me think about what i buy -well even more than before :T

well good luck to those weighing in this morning.
Hope everyone has a great day-keep up the good work folks..
talk to you later..ooh and hello to anyone not mentioned :D
    im off for brekkie

Well done MrsM ~ that is absolutly FAB! :j I'm really thrilled for you xxxxx

Right, have decieded to give the "moderation" thing a go. I sometimes really crave sweet stuff and I LOVE sweets and chocs so I;m going to buy some Vegan choccy and TRY and have 1 square when I really want it. After Eights are suitable and they are really rich so you cant eat too many or you feel REALLY sick. Maybe worth a try.

Good luck to everyone today :D

Well done on the losses MrsM and Taplady - and good luck to anyone else yet to weigh in.

I've lost another .5lb this week so not too bad. I know it could be more though if I just avoid the dreaded staffroom biscuits! Maybe I should just avoid the staffroom and become a hermit at break times - which is fine until it's wet play or dinnertime and the kids are running riot!

Mum and dad's for tea so I don't know what's on the menu.

Hope everyone has a good day

    Wow, that's some weight-loss Mrs M!

Did anyone watch that programme last night following the people who reckon they eat helathily but still put on weight? I don't half turn into a daily mail reader when I watch things like this. :D That woman claiming she just eats once a day - doesn't snack or eat lunch or breakfast, then gets caught tucking into sausage rolls and pasties at 11.30am. Surely that would fit into one of the lunch, breakfast or snack categories? How people delude themselves. And the belly dancer just got angry when she was told her metabolic rate was normal. Some people just get an idea in their heads and won't listen to the truth. At least I am under no illusions that my flab is down to anything other than yummy things. :D
