Morning Folks!
Before I forget:-
- my complexion is clear & I have a few laughter lines cuz I love to laugh...just like Mary Poppins Uncle:p
- could I have the recipe for the flapjacks please? I'm curious to see if it's different from the one I make......I put dried fruit in it sometimes & cut down the sugar to compensate. ***Perhaps Frogga could answer this bit for me-- --is it OK to put eg sesame & pumpkin etc seeds into something you cook? Thought I'd read somewhere about toxins are realeased from some sort of seed
- I will save money :A by watching Dispatches tomorrow night at 9pm on Ch4, instead of buying a 'diet' book
Tonight is 'good' sausage[as opposed to value that goes into casseroles etc;) ] & leekie mash with associated veggies, & maybe a baked semolina pud for those of us who eat it:p Again, I reduce the sugar content, but the offspring don't know it;) & by having a pud they will want less sausage:T
I'm off to dig out me fruitie tea bags......I hear a rosehip, cranberry & eccineacha(sp?) calling.....Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Hi all
I am a bit despondent after my weigh-in, stayed the same, WHY? I really took care, and exercised, and walked, only ate a teensy weensy bit out of the SW regime - and made up for it on the other days. BUMMER BUMMER BUMMER.
I am also finding the 'leader' not very supportive, when I first left a message on her voicemail she did not return the call, then a few days ago I texted her to ask the value for veg sushi and she never bothered replying, and then today she casually said "stayed the same", no words of encouragement, nothing and then said that she did not find the reply to the question I had texted her (re. sushi) -well I feel she could at least have texted me back to say so, instead of letting me hang on nearly a week, no?
I think I shall go to another group to finish my 6 vouchers (3 to go) that I paid in advance, and then I shall do my own thing instead of burning money, will treat myself to some really nice underwear with the money saved!
Anyway:
Thanks for crossing fingers for me, it could have been worse, I could have put on weight!
Boddy & Gingham, well done on losing!
RanitaR, well done on winning the veg, how wonderful for you! Which comp did you enter?
Foodwise:
Breakfast: 2 fry dried eggs, small amount baked beans, 1 1/2 ryvita
Lunch: Red lentil and rice are on the fire, cooking, will add some broccoli & parmesan probably.
Dinner: no idea, got yoga tonight and my DH has photography in the same building, so we might even indulge in that Chinese that we resisted the other day! Who knows....
At 1:30 pm I have an appointment to highlight my hair as a model, I am fed up of being gray again, and want a change before I go to Italy, where everybody from age 2 weeks to age 99 1/2 is absurdly groomed and I always look like a ragamuffin, even near the REAL ragamuffins!
ciao all, have a good day, prob. seeyou tomorrow, I might not be back in time tonight!
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Caterina - sorry you are a bit fed up at staying the same, I have found that if that happens I usually lose 'big' the next week! Your SW leader sounds useless, give it up, we'll give you all the support you need!;)Do what you love :happyhear0

Hi Everyone! :hello:
First post here, but I really do need to join you all and turn a few of these good intentions into actual weight loss. I always meant to join in the last thread, but found it got so huge, I never really knew where to start..... has anyone mentioned the idea of this becoming a daily?
I weigh in at home every Friday morning, and last week I was 12 st 4... I have fond memories of being 10st on my wedding day, and whilst that would be fab, 11st would do nicely
I have never been to a 'slimming club' - I begrudge them the money too much! However I joined the WW community boards years ago and that helped get to the 10st - I would rather do this MY WAY though - bit more OS really.
I always cook from scratch - during the summer I also cook what I grow, but I adore baking bread, cakes and pastries...... ho hum
So anyhow.... today...
B: 1 slice hm toast, tea, apple juice
L: hm potato salad (vlf mayo), hg salad, corn etcwill be hm thai green chicken curry with the last of a gorgeous fr chook, a divine hm paste rescued from the freezer, lf coconut milk and a small :A portion of rice

Brown chicken and leeks whilst pots cook with some garlic and any herbs you fancy then I just add tin of toms or passatta, some seasoning and pop in oven proof dish. Mash spuds with a bit of cheese to top the pie and pop it in the oven, by the time I've cleaned pans wiped side down and cooked veg it's all bubbly cooked:D so many variations to this and it tastes different everytimebut thats the fun isn't it x

Had a bad start to the morning really. Made egg mayonnaise for Ohs work sandwhiches last night and of course there was lots left over, so had that on 2 slices of toast for brekkie. And there was still some left so had that around 11. And a banana. Could be worse I suppose <thinks back to the days of smarties and a jamaican pattie for breakfast>, but not ideal.
Have made up for it by making a HUGE veggie chilli and it's delish. Figured out it cost me £2 for all the ingredients and it has made 10 servings (6 of which I have put in the freezer, the other 4 we will have over the next two days). So 20p per serving, and it is very healthy healthy!2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0
