oooohhhh thanks !:T I shouldn't really as I've already had a slice of my favourite coffee cake at the WI:D but you know me, just cant say no to cake!;)

Frogga, didn't get to see your uncle on TV, unfortunately I'm frog-phobic:eek: current company excluded of course!;) I have dozens of your relatives in my garden and I cant abide them! hope this means we can still be friends!:D
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Well, I went for my first SW weigh-in and I lost 4lbs :j :j :j

Thought I had really blown it, as I had wine and a curry on Saturday night.
I'm sure it will slow down, but I am finding it easy as I can eat as much of certain things as I like. I save my syns so I can still have my glass of wine at night.

Hope everyone else is having a good week

    Afternoon all :D

Mrs Doyle -I have to agree with Boo ... low fat products are usually so ram packed full of sweeteners n sugars....bleughhhh... After years of low fat alternatives, WW products etc... i have pretty much dumped them all...
I really have begun to believe that these products confuse your system, and lead to cravings etc..

I only buy butter and lard and oils, full fat mature cheese, HM bread the works :rotfl:

your fruit loaf may show a few more cals than a shop one...but i would bet there is much more substance to your cake, so hopefully a smaller piece would satisfy you ;) ...plus the bonus of being able to sit down with the family and eat the same lovely home cooked meal.. no seperate products for you :T plus saving a small fortune on special products:j

My mentality with low fat/cal alternatives never worked.. my though was never well i can have a pack of crisps and still save cals..it was  ok it has half the cals of the "proper one" so i can eat 2 :p

I have found that since dumping the ready made products i have stopped craving stuff -from starting this back in August i had no choc, crisps, cake etc until i went home for xmas -where i had a taste but wasn't bothered and then since getting back at the begining of January i have not touched them again :rotfl: and it's not that im "not allowed", i just really don't fancy them or even think about them very often :T and i do believe that it is because i am cooking from scratch and so no getting shed loads of addatives and chemicals in my system:D

When my hubby is away..i stay up really late too -until im that pooped i fall asleep really quickly -otherwise i can't settle as he isn't there :p Glad he was only away for the night for you :D

Boo -glad you liked the pate, and well done on the soup :T -if you ever want that "creamy taste" without loads of cals, add a dollop of low fat cream cheese when you blitz it ;) -this works with pasta sauces too...

Cheerfulness-hope you are your usual happy self soon :D ...and hope you can find a cheap replacement window...

Rockie..glad there is good news on OHs job front :T ... hope he sticks with it -or tell him his back on a super frugal meal plan -toast, beans n pulses ;) -that should scare him :rotfl:

Queenpig..glad you came away from last night feeling good about yourself:T

Newlywed..well done :T as the DR said "when people are slim like you" :rotfl: although i don't advocate walking round showing the world next weeks washing of course

Taplady.... i have had a caerphilly n leek burger many moons ago at a pub my sis works in and it was rather yummy:p ... hope you enjoy your piece of cake today and 2 whole days off

MHE.... when i started on here back in August i was 21st  and im still 16st 6lbs... so thats 64lbs gone and about another 84lbs to go :rotfl: - so i have a whole "lard mountain" attatched to various bits of my anatomy ;) ..
god the things i tell you lot :rotfl:
you will get rid of your 37.5lbs ..:T

Jayarr -hope everything went well with the nurse...still have my piggies crossed-but im getting cramp now :rotfl:

woohooo frogga -glad things are still going well :D

well so far today i have had:-
    • brekkie -2 weetabix
    • banana
    • lunch -2 HM pittas with home boiled ham , beetroot and tickled bunions
    • 2 oranges and a yogurt
    • dinner -will be leftover chicken with caramalised peppers n onions -stuffed into HM tortillas and served with salad
    • snackies-fruit n yogurt if i get hungry... mind im eating a fair bit today :rotfl:
Have made a loaf of bread, a pan of chicken n sweetcorn soup for hubby, vaccuumed right through and had a tidy...
Can't do the lawn as its hazy here so its wet through again  ..so im now off to sort through my seeds again to figure out how much more compost and tubs i need to get all my veggies going.... think i got a bit carried away with the amount of seeds i have:p
    then i may sit n x stitch :D

    keep at it folks..
hello to anyone i have missed..have a good afternoon :D

  • Hey everyone,

I'd like to join in with the OS weightloss thread. I' just over 5'2" and have crept upto 10st and am starting to fit my larger clothes again :( Joined a meeting last summer and lost 1st but it didn't fit in with my working hours very well and felt like I was paying my subs so I could be sold various low fat ready meals and stuff. Not very OS but atleast it gave me a few pointer for where I was going wrong :)

So, after the post-Xmas slippage, I'm getting back on the weightloss wagon and starting with a 10% weightloss goal, by end of March.Wish me luck!

    Hi All

Well after feeling poorly over the last 3 days and not feeling like eating much, I'm hoping that I can keep it up and not go back to eating rubbish.

    So far today:

Breakfast - 2 rounds of toast
    Snacks - Fruit crunch, cup-a-soup

Feeling peckish now though so wondering what to have for my lunch.

    Congratulations on all the losses.

Newlywed - just be careful - we don't want you getting arrested for flashing!:rotfl:
When are you going on your shopping spree?

    Hope everyone's okay

You can usually get a replacement quarterlight window from a breakers yard/scrap yard if you know someone who is able to fit it ;) Much cheaper than a brand new one that way :D

Thanks newlywed, think thats what he's tryin to do. We don't have a local but he's emailing around them and getting quotes in. He says he can fit it himself but if not then we have a mobile mechanic thats great and he'll do it if we get stuck. :)

DS1 looking very sheepish and asking about costs. :p Bless, it was an accident.

    Well done Charlies_mum. :T :T

Not had a chance to read through properly but if I've missed anyones losses then well done to you too. ;)

Beginning to feel a lot more cheerful now as my big box of LUSH has arrived (used survey money to buy so didn't feel too guilty :p ). I think a nice relaxing bath is needed and then a proper read at what you are all getting up to. :D

Oh and Frogga - great to see you are doing so great. ;) Getting ready for you GMTV sofa no doubt!

In about 4½ years time when I finish my DMP ???? ;)

My clothes budget is about £20 a month but that usually gets sucked up into the food budget but hopefully end of April when I've cleared a few unofficial loans off ;)
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • Hi everyone,

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday as I was at my wits end with DD. She's 3 and seems to be very anxious about everything, cries easily, constantly tidies, wants hands washed & asks when daddy's coming home ALL DAY LONG!!!!. I rang health visitor & actually cried down the phone at her. She's sending DD to see a paediatrition, hopefully a step in the right direction.

    Anyway, sorry for babbling...Food Today.....

Breakfast: Porridge with semi-skimmed milk, raisins & large tea.

Lunch: Sandwich with salad, wafer thin smoked ham & some low fat mayo.

Dinner: Garlic chicken, roasties, baby carrots, green beans & pepper sauce (made with skimmed milk), gravy for kids.

Congrats to all who've lost and keep up the good work till weigh-in next week to everyone else!!! :T :T
