  • Ok so lets look at the situation from what ive read on this board and another HD UK.

    * They were mis-priced and a few "slipped" thru the net

    * 100 were on offer at the reduced priced,the rest were then cancelled

    * A mixture of the two

    It seems that the situation hasn't been clearly stated to their staff.

    I was told it would be honoured for me and the money has already been taken but no conformation despatch email,while some have had the opposite......bit of a mess really!

    Hope they sort it out!!!

    Not sure what is happening with my Harry Potter and Entourage orders. They were with a status of Posted but have gone back to Processing.

    I have received one cancellation email but not sure what this relates to. May give them a call tomorrow.
  • Have emailed them at privacy@play.com and got a confirmation email and ticket number.
  • if some peeps would not mind posting their e-mails they sent to play just to get an idea what to say.
  • I got the same email... not happy!

    This is what I wrote.

    Dear Play.com,

    I have just received an email communication from you stating a misprice with my recent order, and that you cannot honor my order.

    I would like you to explain to me why other orders of this item, at this price (£16) have been honored, and posted. I know this as many of my friends ordered this at the same time as me, and have either had a 'Dispatched' email or have phoned play.com to be told of no problems, and their account has been debited?

    When I placed the order for 2 dvd sets, nowhere on the order page was there a notice stating a maximum order, and as you have honored other peoples orders for the same item and price, then you should honor mine.

    If it is the case that there is a maximum order amount on the same item, then you should have it Clearly marked on the order page.

    I am very angry, as the set was for a gift for my child who really wanted it, and I have been looking for this DVD set at a good price for many weeks.

    I feel very dis-heartened with your company now, and am unsure whether I will be ordering from you in the future, as if a customer orders more than one of the same item, they seem to be treated differently to others only ordering one.

    I also feel you should now honor my order, or give some sort of compensation as I will now have to look for a similar gift for my disappointed child.

    Please advise.

    This was only my second order with play.com, and I did get in first (well one of the first), as I ordered at 8.15pm, and before it got posted on HDUK forum too! :mad::mad:
