Just gave them another ring......my item is now "awaiting stock" they told me this "As you have already been charged £16 for the item we will honour the price and send out the item when it is next back in stock,we have it on record that it will be next monday,so you should receive the item the middle of next week"

It better not change from Awaiting stock............unless obviously to posted......

Gutted for all other people who ordered and had it cancelled.

Just had this pathetic reply to my complaint (despite being one of the first to order!) -

Dear ,

Thank you for your email.

Some of the mispriced items were dispatched simply because we did not
have enough time to cancel all of them.

When payment has been taken for an item we have a contract with the
customer and must fulfil the order.

Again we apologise for any inconvenience caused to you in this matter.

had my hopes raised for a day or two before i got the cancel from play even though i ordered at 8.10 pm. i was on that buy it button like a hawk but not fast enough !!!!!!!!

Thanks for the heads-up on this OP - I thought I was in for a winner as I saw it and ordered it at around 7.45 on the day in question. It showed up as being "Posted" for about a week in my play.com account and they even took the £16.00 from my account on Monday! Today, on checking, it says "awaiting stock" (now apparently cancelled) and upon querying it with them, I received this -

Thank you for your email.
This mistake was due to a computer error and we apologise for the
inconvenience caused.
As we do not have a date for the restocking of the item we have
refunded your card.
It is not likely to be within the next 2 months.
Again we apologise for the inconvenience caused to you in this matter.
