Anyone getting anywhere with Play.com? All I seem to receive is rude emails. This is the last one -

I am on the verge of getting up as I am getting nowhere and it's beginning to wind me up now! Would like to hear if anyone did get it after they had taken the money - I hope someone out there was lucky (even it if wasn't me!).0 -

Well thats not very polite of them!
I think you might be better phoning and explaining.I didnt recieve a reply from my email I think due to stating I had been told on the phone I WILL recieve the item and that it WILL be sent this week,which is true,as I did! Plus the money had been taken out and stated as posted so even tho their terms say they dont have a contract with you till email confirmation this to me is a grey area as its not Uk law,plus on my account it did say posted......Dec Wins : Gold Leaf Necklace

Yes, on my account two it showed up for two days as "posted" and they took the money from my account. Maybe I will phone, it's worth a try, and thanks again for your advice. Much appreciated.0 -
If they took the money out of your account for the £16 as per the price on the website they then formed a contract with you at that point. FACT.
Up until that point they can refuse to sell it to you at that price as it is only "an invitation to treat" which means that they invite you to buy at an advertised price, albeit a misprice but if they take money then they are accepting your offer for the product at that price.
It does not matter what their T&Cs say, thats the law.
Lots of misprices appear on here all the time but very few of the companies actually debit the money before cancelling.
For those who are in this situation (money taken, order cancelled ) phone consumer direct , which is the new name for the consumer part of trading standards and register a complaint about it. they will take it up on your behalf.
I ordered this boxset but unfortunatly they didnt take the money so I have no case.0 -
