The school is closed so DS doesnt have to go. Yet more time missed before his GCSE's. He is not a self motivator to study, so we have a battle on our hands to get him to study when not at school
Has anyone pointed out to him that if he doesn't pass his exams he can wave goodbye to his apprenticeship ? And in the current economic climate won't even get a job at Maccy D's or work as a trolley collector ?.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Twin2 broke the gadget that we were using to clear the snow yesterday. Will have to see in my dad has a spade, (and order some gardening tools from Argos or something as I dont have anything except a small hand fork!! ). But I will get onto DS and his friend. There is no way I can do anythingk.today, my neck is really quite bad.(one of those pains that makes you feel sick!. Feel like the weight of my head is too much!)
Yes DS has been told that he will loose the chances if he doesnt work. All he says is that he is working!! I just dont seem to have the same standards as he does. I remember slogging for hours every day when I did my exams.
I wanted to go on to college and get my other exams, but had to work as my parents needed me to. So I had to go back to night schools to continue my education, when the kids were little.
Seeing the news about the people in Australia is shocking! Makes me think that my problems are trivial. It brings things back into perspective when you see these disasters. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Hi shaz what does the pressure point therapy entail. Im intrested as by partner has athritis in all his joints plus fibro and back problems.0

Iv been watching what has been happening in Australia too. My partners family live out there although in different parts of the country where its happening. To think that 50% of the fires are by arson is beyond comprehension.0

Hi lola baby
as far as i can tell the physiotherapist used her thumb to apply presure to the side and top of each vertibrae until pressure was released
I was very sceptical but it has made a big difference (after the first couple days which were more painful than usual due to a rush of sensation)

Thanks. Im going to ask our gp about sending him for it. I know it wont work for his other condition but may work for his back.0

Hi Shaz, I was having one of the physiotherapy sessions where she put pressure around the vertibrae in a move she used to call "Slide Glide", where she would manouvre the vertibrae to free the nerves, it used to last me for about a week, but eventually it hasnt been lasting for more than a day or so, but as I had been seeing her for a year, and have also now changed local authorities I cannot go back it seems!. I have an appointment with the neurologist on the 26th February, and if he reccommends it again then I could go back but she doesnt think that she can do much more for me, which is why I am now trying the accupuncture. I must admit I am missing the physio, as after the first few times, it was such a relief as I could then turn my head to the left, but now I am struggling to turn my head left much, I can no longer get my chin anywhere near level with my shoulder! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

My partner was taught back exercises to click his spine back in place. Iv got to admit it works for him but the crunching sounds are horrible.0

Morning, feeling alot better today. Wondering if the accupuncture has really made the difference.
Went out with my parents to Milton Keynes yesterday and I spoilt myself for a change, and bought some clothes in the sales. Naughty I know, but as I had been feeling so low and the savings are tucked away in the bank, I thought I would just go a little wild. I just hope I wont regret it later on in the year, as I know that that was the last wages from work in January.
We also all had our hair cut last night. Biggest of Mooloo knows a mobile hairdresser and he came to the house and did our hair. So we are all feeling uplifted a bit today.
I am going to venture out now, to drive my friends Mum to Mr T. It will be the first time I have used the car in over a week! Just hope it will start!!
Take care with all the ice about. We had snow again last night, and then with the freezing temperatures it has a crust of ice on top! Wonderful....not.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
