Mooloo's struggle with babies and bills

Just poppin to say hi Mooloo, whats it got to do with the landlord who you have staying as long as he gets his rent and you all respect his property??
I hope the twins start sorting theirselves out so you can start chilling a little but from what you have said in the past that is not going to happen unless some kind of 'service' helps you out, so I hope something is put in place in that respect eventually.
Good for you having a weekend away, you certainly deserve the break.
Take care

Hello all,
Am getting excited about the weekend away. I spent ages looking for the clothes to take. Have decided to colour co-ordinate my stuff, apart from maybe my dresses for the evening. (Got to hope we get out for a posh nosh somewhere). So its Kahki and beige for the weekend. That made it easier to do the packing. Even though I will probably re do it all again tonight!!. Need to iron some of it, but didnt have the energy last night.
The twins are not getting the help and it seems its unlikely tht they will. The social worker that they sent as a result of the last meeting just got twin2 to do a rota on the computer. Well its not anywhere else yet thats for sure!!.
The pair of them are arguing about who does what etc etc.
The main social worker came back for a visit yesterday and she now has concerns about twin1's abilities as she was not supervising her baby properly and that there was a hair grip on the floor that twin1 was told about, and she didnt pick it up, and BGP was on the floor at the time. The social worker picked it up herself eventually. She stopped me on the way home from work, and went on about a small mark on BBJ (he had just headbutted his mum!), as they do. And I thought here we go again!!. Now she is going to write to Twin1 to warn her of her findings.
I am so fed up. Am I supposed to give up work to be there all the time? Why cant they provide the carers and help that Ihave been shouting aobut for a long time now.!!
The landlord has now put a crude chain and two pieces of scruffy uneven posts across the front of the grass just so we cant use the front to park.
I really will have to do some research into moving (again!!!!) when I get back. I am sick of him telling me the window is open too far, or all day, or the curtains is out, or the twins have a visitor or my sons mates are bad, or that the girls went passed. Or that I wasnt at work today, etc etc etc. i TOLD HIM I AM ENTITLED TO A LIFE!! . Doesnt look like it, unless I grab it.
Someone asked me what was going to happen when I went away for the weekend..... No idea. I am going. If I stay home 24/7 the family will be split up sooner rather than later, as i may just go into the local mental institution in Littlemore.!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Might be worth contacting Shelter to discuss the meaning of 'quiet enjoyment' and whether the parking issue can be resolved. If it's grass you're parking on then he might argue that it's damaging it, but if it's a paved drive then I am not sure what grounds he would have for objecting if it is 'your' drive.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
When I get back from my weekend away, I am going to dig out the tenancy agreement and see what he wrote. I remember querying things and he said oh thats when it was for students, etc etc. But of course he is just tryng to protect his place. However if I want to let someone visit for a few weeks, no rent involved and the like then I cant see what his problem is. He wont even let my son have a mate over the night. Sleepovers are common around teenagers but he doesnt want that. Not as if we are a party crazy family, we are just a normal one. (Well ok, whats normal about us, but you know what I mean),
Most people are on the computer when the babies are in bed. And sometimes when they are not. When the mates do visit its a night of XBox or Computers. No raves here.
Visitor has been to the council and asked for help, but as she is not from this area they have no call of duty to house her. They have given her information to a website where houses and flats are advertised, but they dont want housing benefit, and so she is being rejected at all enquiries at the moment. I said I would have a look into it when I get back. I dont have the energy today to do it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Sorry to be harsh mooloo, but do you not have enough on your plate without trying to sort out the accommodation problems of your visitor? Point her to Shelter, give her a letter saying she can't stay longer than XXX (and don't make XXX too far away), and let her get on with it!Signature removed for peace of mind0

Its not harsh, its probably true, but I have in the passed helped other people but this time I have moved from the places I know and its harder to try to help. I have written a letter and told her she cant stay passed Monday, and she has been to the council, and is on line as I write looking for accommodation. I will follow through on Tuesday, as to be honest its a help to have her around and she gets the twins moving when I am out at work. (But I know it cant last long). When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

Morning has come around all too soon again.!
Today I have to go to work, leaving a little early so that I can have my hair cut. Then I am going to BF's ready for our little weekend away tomorrow. House visitor is going to keep a bit of an eye on the twins for me. Hopefully Biggest *of*Mooloos will also be on the alert for help.
DS has reacted quite badly to his tablets so the doctors have told him to stop them. I hope he will be OK now. (Although it means the migraines may now return!!). We have to go back to the neurology department again now.
Last night Visitors new BF cooked the dinner for us, as he said I looked too knackered. So the spaghetti bolognaise was done last night. That means that the twins will just have to do potatoes and vegetables to go with the beef I had already cooked the night before.
I have given them an easy menu plan of all meals that they can cook, and that they will eat. There is a store cupboard full of alternatives. So they wont starve. (I have left some housekeeping with the visitor(safer trust me) so that if there is anything needed for the babies etc they wont do without, just becuase the twins have spent their money.). When I get back we will be doing yet another sort out of their money. No loans etc from me. We will be working out how they are going to pay me back.!!
I just hope that I have a house to come home to.
The front room and kitchen are all up to the Social Services beady eye. As long as they dont come into my back sittingroom!!. But wether it will be like that on Monday when she comes is another matter.
At work it has been a stonking good week. We did nearly £500 on Monday and two following days of £700 each!!. Unheard of. I hope that the shop has turned around for the good, although it would be impossible to keep the turn over that high, unless I can miraculously continue to find some good stock like the Jane Shilton handbags and a few good labels that we got last week. !! But I am going off on my break knowing that the shop is up t scratch, that the stock is good, and most sections are full, or will be by the end of this mornings session.
so I think I have all of that sorted out.
I have checked my bank balances. We are still in the black. A few bills to pay when I do get back. But nothing major. At least nothing I know about. The cr tax is due at the end of the month, so is the MOT. That will be the next scarey thing.
Anything I have forgotten? When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hi Mooloo - Congratulations on turning the shop around. You should be really proud and I hope the bosses have taken note.
Your visitor does sound like a gem. Would it not be worth letting her stay?
Hope you have a really nice weekend away - and manage not to think about the family worries just for a couple of days.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

You may feel the landlord is being unreasonable, but he has let his house to a family of 3 adults and 3 children. If mooloo allows another unrelated adult to move in - not a boyfriend, an unrelated adult - and charges rent, she could be sub-contracting. From his point of view, what's to stop friend's boyfriend moving in? Then along comes the boyfriends friend in need of somewhere to stay for a short (?) period. And so it goes on.
If he's been a landlord for any length of time, he's probably seen all sorts. If he hasn't, he wants to avoid the horror stories he's heard about.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
