Mooloo's struggle with babies and bills

That reminds me, when you mentioned Gift Aid being in a bit of a mess at work, mooloo, I was going to say that don't panic too much about getting your returns for that: if your claim is over a year old HMRC pay interest at a very healthy rate: our treasurer finds it better to claim late and get the interest! That's if the cashflow will stand it.
Twin2 needs to get advice from her Housing Officer. If she's not going back to that flat then yes, she definitely needs to give notice on it and say that her bf is in there and won't give her back the key. If he's not on the tenancy agreement then he can be evicted, I believe. There will still be some arrears, but there's no point increasing them!
Its taken me an hour to get the internet up and running, now I have to dash off to work. Typical.
Try again later.
Re the charity claim, I will look into what I can and cannot do, but head office are the ones that are chasing me at the moment. !! I sat up doing figures last night, to see what we have done, and should have done, till my mind was a buzz.
New day, new deals, new problems. ? hope not.

Well, we have a mantra at work, brought out when we're feeling we have far more left to do than can ever be done. It is:
What I can do today is enough for today.
Try not to be pressurised by 'em. You're only human at the best of times, you've come back from an extended period of sick leave, and you are still only part-time!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

I suppose its not the fact that they are presurising me, more the fact that the shop has not preformed while I was away, and I want it to preform now. The gift aid was pointed out in the meeting and in a letter I received this weekend from HO pointing out that "**** has also asked that you drive Gift Aid as a priority as the Oxford shop is underperforming in this area". As the figures for this can be seen easily on the Emp system it means that they can see if I am working hard or not. (Mind you there are a lot of other things to be done too. Health and Safety, staff training, paperwork, steaming pricing and recruitment along with daily orgainsation. ). Thats all in the letter too.
I am only there for 4 hours, 4 days a week.!! They expecting alot then!!.
I will have to set a timer on my phone, and makesure I leave when I am due to, as they have cut my wages accordingly. So now its £6,000 a year instead of £13,500. Until I go back full time of course. (If I can manage that).
Least I will be able to start sorting out my budget, when I know what I am going to get in, and then what I can do is take a leaf out of Hypno's book, and give my self a few challenges to save and make more money. But will I be exhausted.... probably!!
Kids all well. BBJ now weighs 14lb. So at 12 weeks thats a healthy weight, dispite his sickness early on. He now just has a reflux problem. Cant remember what they said BBP weights but she is fit and healthy and doing well. She is a bonney we lassie.
Back to school for DS tomorrow. That will mean I have to get up early to make sure he goes. Might go into work a bit early and see whats facing me, as I havent been in since Thursday. (Did 7 hours on Monday last week, first day back just sorting out the weeks befores paperwork.!!).
Watching Dancing on Ice now. Relax time. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Just been on Hypno's thread. Mentioned that I want to get my sewing machine out, and maybe do some alterations and repair jobs for the £10 a day challenge. Will have to seriously look at that again, as it would be a way of making money. I would as pointed out need to find a way to market myself though. Yet another challenge to rise to then?
Once i have found a good home for Duke, then I will then put my efforts into the idea of making my pin money on sewing rather than the idea of trying to earn on Bingo sites etc.
Cant do the cash back stuff that Martin is always talking about as a bankrupt no cards, allowed. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well, with regard to work, do you have clear priorities from your managers?
You may need to spell it out to them: "I am here for four hours on four days. I cannot do all I was doing when I was working for seven hours on five days. If I prioritise Gift Aid, then I cannot train staff and steam clothes at the same time."
However, it's also worth maybe having a team meeting and working out what could be done by someone else. There may be someone raring for a challenge.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

I agree with what you are saying. I will have to prioritise what I do. I did a lot more than those few things when I was there fulltime before, but I did nearly kill myself with work!. I was often there 10 hours a day, and only paid for the 7. They got a lot of hours out of me for free. As its a charity.
I have been trying to call a team meeting, but with most of my volunteers they only are available for thier few hours slots and thats it. Nothing much that they can get their teeth into one day a week. The assistant managers are job sharing really. The newest chap has only been there about a month, was taken on in January on a temporary contract. Hes the one that needs to be trained.!! I went into work the other day and none of the firedoors had been shut over night, and the fireescape was wide open upstairs not just unlocked, open!!!
But I promise all I will not push myself and that I will make a difference by using my organisational skills and getting new volunteers to help. Thats the best option. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Off for a while now, must do my hair before work tomorrow and make sure that my son is ready for school tomorrow. Twin 1 is out with her baby seeing a friend and is late home, am worried about her as its so cold, dont like babies being out so late in the cold weather. But as she is 19 I cant exactly stop her from going out. Problem is I cant make her come back either.

I think I have been too kind to myself lately. I am out of the habit of working hard, I am out of the habit of thinking in a work mode too!! Ah well, it will come.
Been watching TV all evening, but not really got my mind on it, dont ask me what happened in Lewis its mostly been lost on me. Ah well, never mind. Twin1 is home now, she got home about 9.30! Baby is fine. I worried for nothing.
Still think about doing the sewing in the next few weeks and see if I can make my £10 a day challenge on that one. Just need to practise first. Rusty at the moment as i havent done much sewing over the last few years. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well another day another dollar. Ok pound, but it doesnt run so well. Just feeding bbj before i go to work. Had a restless night with a run of nightmares too frazzle me more. Off to work I go now. Twin 2 has taken DS to Dentist for me, Twin1 now taken BBJ off of me, so I can finish this sentance and go for the bus. Hope everyone has a good day, catch up later. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
