Chaos reins in the kitchen/lounge. Thank god I have a little room to myself. Got the tv on Egg heads. wonder if I could learn anything from it. I like to go to the pub and do the quiz, but nothing seems to sink into my dim mind these days! Ah well. I suppose i will have to go and do the dinner in a minute. Not that I really fancy going into the kitchen, babies and buggies and stuff everywhere. Talking of their stuff I need to find a couple of highchairs. Best ask the health visitor if they have any. Think someone mentioned it earlier on one of the threads I write on, but cant remember. Best to ask before I go and buy I suppose. Might be able to borrow, or higher them.

I dont know whats up with my broadband but the technical guys dont seem to be able to help me. its biffing me off everytime i comeon, so I have been signing on every 4 to 5 minutes again. Its been frustrating and time consuming. DS has just come home, munching a choccy bar, when I have a homemade Chilli and 2 rices done.!! Kids. The twins have finished their dinner and both the babies have fallen asleep at the moment. Peace sort of reins at the moment. Watching strange programe on the tv about people living into thier hundreds. Gosh, I cant imagine living that long.! Will really have to work on the health side. Actually I have wanted to put us onto a more healthy diet, and go a bit more environmentally friendly. But being on a budget makes it so hard. I still do not know what the income I am going to have will be. But hey ho. Try as I have done before, and try again I will. This house is the first one weve been in for the last 8 years that is in a recycling area. So I have not really been in the habit of being too good at my recycling. But now I aim to become more aware and to do more about recylcing. Lets face it, thats what I do at work! We recycle clothes, shoes, hats, accessories, bric a brac, books, videos, etc at work so why am i not doing it at home? Crazy.

Think I am talking to myself. Oh well never mind. Its therapy. I have found making entries here does help me. I focus, and once things have been put in writing I am more inclined to make sure i follow through.
Time to go and lurk elsewhere for a while.

Oh I wasnt complaining. I could have been talking to the moon yesterday.!! Just when I think its all ok something comes along and goes a bit wrong. Story of all of our lives. I just wish I could have a nice consistant bit for a while. :D
Just been arguing with the housing benefit people that they told me that I would have housing benefit on both properties for the 4 weeks hand over (Well they told me month, now I am told its 4 weeks). So now that the paperwork has come through it appears that I got benefit, on the flat, except for the first £48.05 a week, for 4 weeks. Fine I paid that.:T Now they are saying that I will get exactly the same for the same 4 weeks for this place. Which means that I now have to find an extra £48.05 a week to pay my landlord here. I tried to explain that that means I need an extra £192 to pay out of the same purse that they said I couldnt afford to pay the rent on in the first place. Anyone with me? The told me that I only had to pay the £48.05 on one property because obviously thats all I can afford. So now i hav to pay it on 2.!!!! I have gone around in circles explaining that if my income is so low I needed the benefit surely it goes to stand that I need a full benefit for one 4 week period on one of the properties?
(Then when I start to get wages its going to be changed all over again. Oh god what a thought!). Conveniently the man I need to speak to who may be able to help is on annual leave, his boss.....on annual leave. Meanwhile I need to find £192 + to pay the landlord here as I already had paid the council rent on their property a month in advance!!
So I need to make some money pretty fast by the looks of things? What with the cost of moving so far, and all the final bills coming in, I am panicing. Store cupboard challenge going to be for the rest of the month, and probably well into next month too!!
As I am bankrupt I cant go overdrawn, cant get a loan. So where is it going to come from? Oh of course, thin air!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Twin2's BF didnot do his probation stint yesterday, and it appears that he has been suspended from it, what ever that means, but I just overheard her say he will "go down" on the 3rd March. So I presume as he has broken his probation rules he will get his suspeneded sentance reinstated. Great.
Meanwhile he is still in her old flat, will not budge or give her a key, and the council will not give her housing benefit anymore, since December that means she has a debt growing at £269 a week, for the rent of that place, and he is living in it.!!!!   if they lock him up can they throw away the key?

Now I have vented my anger for the day, I am off to cook some tea. I am starving.

Ok so I am calmer, I hope. I made cheese and ham omlettes, the fluffy ones that rise under the grill, and salad. Nice and healthy, and colourful. Cheered me up. Mind you I have abandoned sitting in the kitchen with the family and brought it into my snug little sittingroom, so that I can have a bit of peace. Deep breathing and meditation time.! Cant do anything today about the council. Cant do anything today about twin2's flat. So relax. I have itemed them in my diary and will act again on it all tomorrow. Sorted. (Well for today).
I could be good and do some of the ironing. But I want to keep my arm right for tomorrow.
I have been back at work again today. Sorted out yet another paperwork mistake. Met a new volunteer, and signed up two new ones. So hopefully I will have a full team working for me soon. There wasnt many people in today and the computer system had crashed, so it was a frustrating day. DS came in and volunteerred an hour or so of his time, and was a great help. Not many 15yr olds will give up their time for charity, so I am lucky with him.
I hope to have a bit of me time later tonight. Well us time, and see if I can go and visit my DBF. That will cheer me up!!
Internet still playing up. Signing me in and out all the time, very frustrating. Gather life is just not going to be plain sailing for a while!!

  • Hi Mooloo

I've just caught up with your diary again, good to have you back even though its frustrating for you to keep being logged off!!!

Grrr to other people/services not sorting your money out  So annoying when you are promised one thing then another actually happens! As for twin2 boyfriend staying in her flat and her being liable for the rent    Can she not tell the housing/landlord that she no longer wants it?

Good news about the job sounds like you are really getting your teeth into it and feeling right at home too.

Hooray to the extra space so you have an escape from the full house if you need it.

Loving your ability to try and keep positive and when there is nothing you can do about a situation 'shelving' it til you can :A

That reminds me, when you mentioned Gift Aid being in a bit of a mess at work, mooloo, I was going to say that don't panic too much about getting your returns for that: if your claim is over a year old HMRC pay interest at a very healthy rate: our treasurer finds it better to claim late and get the interest! That's if the cashflow will stand it.

Twin2 needs to get advice from her Housing Officer. If she's not going back to that flat then yes, she definitely needs to give notice on it and say that her bf is in there and won't give her back the key. If he's not on the tenancy agreement then he can be evicted, I believe. There will still be some arrears, but there's no point increasing them!
