Another virginal lamb to the slaughter here too.
I already have £30+ in vouchers, but, I can only use them for 10% of my shopping and I don't expect to spend even 2/3rds of that. My shopping day is a Saturday and my food budget is £40pw for 2adults and 1 child...5wks @ £40 = max £200 shopping.
I too put all of my change into a jar, which will bump up my total, but, I very rarely spend on anything else so I think I would be lucky if my total came to more than £35. We shall see.
Good luck all."And crawling on the planet's face,

so read this thread from start to finish and now I feel motivated again. I can't wait to start the challenge in the morning. I have my coupons at the ready!!
Target £30
Good Luck everyone
Sorry to hear you've been feeling down((hugs)) but ...
.... D-Lighted that you've regained motivation from this thread :T :T
For Father's Day, the boys bought their Dad a gift of 4 mini Baileys .. they were taking up room in their box in the fridge, so I unpacked them ... found a 50p coupon inside and nabbed it quick! That'll do nicely
Tip: If you are feeling brave - just hand in your wodge of coupons at the checkout and look naiveSometimes they will scan them through even if it goes over the "rules". I've done this several times and if I get a knock back or the
look ... I look
then
and thank them for explaining to "silly me"
Tip #2: If you are *not* feeling brave ... order OH/dh to volunteer to do it for you.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You can find it in our "Challenges" sticky at the top of the forum listing, or you can follow the clue in my signature any time you see it or...

Had already decided to try own budget for shopping for July (necessity, house purchase completion due for end of July - yippee!) before reading thread. Would very much like to join challenge as 14th virgin. Have withdrawn £200 for monthly shopping today but already spent £20 on 3 piece suite from sale room + £15 for delivery and £1.99 for upholstery cleaner so working from behind already! Oh dear.Proud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474

Hello and welcome lemanie
Well day 1 and a cheque has come this morning from anglian water for £47.93 because we overpaid them :j
Do you think I should count this in as pin money? It feels a bit like I'm cheating - I thought I would just adding up small amounts from BOGOFs etc?0 -
:T :T Excellent news on the cheque honey!! :j :j
Yes, it is *definately* pin money! It is unexpected, a bonus, not budgeted for = pin moneyIt's not cheating either
Now run quickly and squirrel it away into a savings account so it can earn you extra money in interest!
