rave about the BBC version, so when i found a copy of the full series for £7.99, i snapped it up. It arrived today, and i am not dissapointed in this one, Colin def smoulders as Mr Darcy, and the actress who plays Elizabeth is very believable. The only complaint is i didnt think the actress who plays Jane was prettier than Elizabeth, as she is meant to be.
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx[/quote]

Cat, the house you see in P & P where Miss Bennett goes to stay with the vicar is the house I used to look after and where OH and I go to house sit. It was also used in the adaptation of Jane Austins home as a child in the film they made of her life.......We still call the small guest room the Jane Austin room..........................the bits of the house you see are the outside, the dinisg hall, staircase, drawing room and bedroom.........

We have had our half hour exercise class, not too hectic, and much enjoyed, we had a chatty cuppa afterwards...........

I did manage to get a bit of sewing done before we went to the class, feeling a bit hungry, might do the fish and chips a bit early..........

Thanks for all the back up.

Support from me too PP smile.gif I've only just caught up with the thread. Sounds awful so I hope you get all it sorted.

Men get on my nerves. I had a shopping list and should have spent no more than £40. But mr tru was with me and we spent £95.84 mad0177.gif

And we needed a new microwave, I wanted one where you set the power with one button and set the time with another button. But nooooooooo, we've ended up with one with a grill (which we'll never use) and fancy-pants buttons and settings (most of which we'll never use). I told him I didn't want it, he said 'well, lets look around but I doubt we'll find exactly what you want' (I must admit there didn't seem to be many around that were basic, but large - most of the basic ones were too small), the conversation went in circles til I said 'OH JUST BUY THE BLOODY THING AND LET'S GET OUT OF HERE'. We get home and I start with playing it, then I start complaining about it and he said 'oh don't moan, you said I could buy it'

I've put the recipe collection thread in his faves, when he starts to use it he'll probably have a nosy at my posts. So here's to you, mr tru - mad0055.gif

We couldn't do any gardening, it's been peeing down  Probably just as well, I might have stuck the pitchfork through his head :rotfl:

Oh annnnnnnnnnnd, I didn't get any lunch (breakfast was at 7am) and we got home at 3pm. I told him how hungry I was and got a pizza out, when I'd turned around, he'd taken the back off the oven to change the lightbulb then he said he was going to soak the thing he'd taken off for an hour because it was a bit grubby on the back and it's impossible to clean normally.

I have a huge headache, I think a blood vessel in my brain has popped

    Hiya, hurray it's FRIDAY!!!!!!!! :j :j :j

Guess who DH saw up close to day???? Ringo Star!!!

Tonight is the official launch of the beginning of Liverpool's as the Capital of Culture so there is a big concert, fireworks thingy happening in the city centre tonight. Ringo is the guest of honour and will be singing a song from the top of St George's Hall.
He was visiting certain places today, including one of his old schools and that is where DH is a teacher, so he saw him up close in the car park (as you do). The funny thing is that Ringo's driver was taught by DH a long time ago, so he was delighted to see him again! I will add that DH is much younger than Ringo and didn't actually teach him!

We're not going to the concert in town as we're all shattered and would rather have a nice night in our warm house eating chips from the chippy! :D

I'm planning to have my pjs on by 7 o'clock tonight as I'm exhausted. I returned to work on Wednesday and it's been hard work. I've got a lovely student teacher in at the moment, but having her does actually increase my workload. I have to go through so much paperwork with her and because I have 2 Autistic children in the class she will need lots of support as I can just about manage them and I've been doing it for 15 years.
I've had lots of visits this week from 'so called experts' who observe the children, monopolise my time, give me strategies for dealing with the 2 children (including some really impractical ones) and then disappear back to a completely different world and leave us to struggle on!
On Wednesday I had a total of 9 adults in my classroom, this included usual staff members, student teacher, student nursery nurse, her supervisor, Ed Psych, speech therapist, SENCO and of course me! I do love my job but there are too many so called experts and they really annoy me as most of them haven't taught, won't teach or did once teach, but couldn't hack it!!

Right that's my rant over with! It's the start of the weekend and I'm happy.:D

    Have a good evening.

I'm no expert at cooking but I've defrosted all sorts of things-chicken, sausages, chops etc. in order to be able to cook them that night.
The problem might only be if you defrosted them and then tried to freeze them again..............I think.

Busygirl..........you are lucky to be on the doorstep of the city of culture.........OH was born there and his Mum and brothers still live there. We normall visit them in June (MILs birthday) and this year we're making a bit of a holiday out of it to see whats going on. Should be good I think

    Evening all,

Nothing exciting here to-day, have done my shopping so no going out for a few days at least...to shops anyway.

Dinner over and just to reload the DW and set it off for the night...not sure where all the extra dishes are coming from, think I will just 'issue' everyone a mug, bowl, plate and cutlery and have everybody responsible for their own...what thread did I see that on, sounds like a good idea.

    PenPin...complain!

Hugs to all who are not well or who feel the need of a hug
