Afternoon all................just made myself 'earn' a bit of time on comp.........lol Cleared some stuff out of the spare room -still got drawers to do - washing that was dry is put away.........another lot churning away, wrote letter to Mum, paid her hairdressers bill, did couple of birthday cards so I don't have a last minute panic and made some space on the kitchen windowsill for the two pots of daffs OH bought me yesterday to make me feel springs on the way.:j Quite pleased with myself.
DW on, Mr Twit is still snoozing, he has no work on at present and is finding it hard to get motivated, there is plenty to do here, but no inclination.

Mrs. Twit............I've got one of those............he did get up (after me) and the other day started doing a much needed kitchen clean...........seems to have come to a standstill...........this afternoon he promised -gone down his mates now -expect they'll end up at the pub for an hour............lol
Still, he's done the grocery shopping -that'll be delivered later......so shouldn't complain should I.

Hugs to all those who are poorly or who have problems and hope you all have a good day:j

    hi all

penpin---did the consultant prescribe wrong dose or did the nurse give you the wrong amount?? Whenever I do meds, I double check and check again. Wouldn't you think that someone noticed it was wrong?? Its like haribo said, its unbelievable. I would make a complaint, as someone is not doing their job properly and might do it again. Let us know how you get on, hun, in the meantime, rest up xxxx

    rmac--hi and welcome back x

    hillstep--- hugs x

I had a bad night sleep as well and I normally sleep like a log, ( well apart from when I get night sweats!) I had a reallly strange dream about dogs barking really loudly! I woke up with a start and was convinced that our dog had been barking, but she hadn't she was fast asleep.

Isn't it strange that nearly all of us had funny dreams???

Very grey and cold here today, we had frost on the car this morning! I have took the day off today, I don't get paid but I have worked all week and I am up to date with everything, so I thought I would play catch up here now!

so far today, The dw has been on twice and emptied, three loads of washing has been done and is nearly dried. I have hoovered and had quick whip round.:j

I am just waiting for Mr T is deliver food (minus cheap chicken-only free range for us now) then I have to collect ds2 from school and take him to the barbers, his hair is unbelively long:eek:

I am making pooky's potato peelings soup in sc, ready for lunch tommorow and I think we are having scampi for tea.

hope all little uns that are feeling poorly soon get better

Afternoon everyone. Eldest DD has half a day off today and she has just phoned me at work to ask how to wash, towels, sheets, darks, lights... etc etc She has made herself some lunch and put dw on!
Pleased I'm sat down I'm in shock!!! bless. I think it's brilliant but I'm still surprised. Normally she lays on sofa watching tv.

Quick question. OH said this morning that he wants to help with money saving and suggested that if hair conditioner is diluted half and half, it's still as effective and saves money?????? is this the case??? I didn't think it made sense myself as me and girls use loads of it. We tend to use 2 bottles of conditioner to one bottle of shampoo.
Any advice will be gratefully received.

Pen-Pin:- Definately complain via PALS at your hopsital http://www.pals.nhs.uk/ will give you the name and address you need. A transcibing error like that needs investigating. PM me if I can help.

Thanks HJ. I didnt have a blood transfusion, I had a special type of iron infusion. I think the main problem is that I am under 8 different consultants and they dont communicate well with each other. The Walfarin clinic is seperate, so I think I will try and compile a complaint letter for next week.

I know it's easily done but I'm confused again. :o Why didn't they give you an infusion earlier then when your blood count was dangerously low? I'd definitely mention that too.
To have 8 consultants is ridiculous. Surely there is a better way for them to manage your care unless you have 8 different illnesses.

It was the Clinical Nurse Specialist of the Warfarin dpt. Does that make a difference:confused: I was told 12 days ago (as my INR was 4.1)to stop for one day then the same dose everyday except Monday, Wednesday & Friday-which was 7mg, but this should have been 5mg not the 7mg daily on these days.

Tatty, you should use less conditioner than shampoo anyway as it's only needed on hair halfway to your scalp; you shouldn't need it any closer. I use 1/2 the amount of conditioner to shampoo and my hair is halfway down my back. I put it on from the ends up. So it sounds like you are using way too much conditioner now anyway, so you'll save money just by cutting back on how much you use. Waterign it down wont' work and jsut make it runny.

pen, I am a learning disability nurse, so I am not a specialist in this feild, however the nurse that prescribed the warfarin is a specialist in this feild, so I don' t understand how she has made the mistake??

Should you definetly of been prescribed the 5mg, not the 7mg, as given?? if so, the nurse who prescribed it wrongly, is accountable.

You can make a complaint, I would have a word with the consultant or paitent services. hth
