Celyn90 - I love your quote in your signature - I'm going to have to steal that - it's great!!!
Have just been reading over on DFW about OS courses and funding - have just applied for a course that I should get partial funding on and a grant that would cover the rest - will have a good read of the paperwork when it comes in. Any of you that do OU courses that know how it all works - if you've got any advice please let me know. Been a long time since I studied anything  .
Got a friend popping in for coffee later so going to get some nana muffins on the go and some jam explosion cakes (just a basic sponge mix - small bit in the cake case, spoon of jam - then more cake mix - makes them really jammy and yummy."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. Morning all - just been up the road for milk and it's truly disgusting out there. Today was going to be the day I blitz the kitchen floor, but with 6 cats traipsing mud back and forth, this can wait till tomorrow when hopefully it'll be a bit brighter. When I manage to give myself a kick up the bum, I'll blitz the bathroom - I bought a load of OS cleaning stuff yesterday from the poundshop so the loo's going to get the shock of its life. I need to strip the beds because of muddy footprints, and also have a chicken carcass to strip and freeze for stirfries/curries. So that's my glamourous day all planned then.0

Morning all.
Flipping freezing here, and cant have heating on as gas man coming to service the fire, they do this every year so has to be cold for when they come, between 9-2!!!! Im going to freeze!!
Crazychick havent actually quit yet, start support group on tuesday and they help me set a quit date and prepare me for it, so dont think im cheating when you see me at back door having a fag!!!LOL
Ds2 came home with his 3 day trip letter yesterday, knew it was coming as ds1 went last year, but the price has gone up by £15 since last year so going to cost me £95. Not moaning though because ds1 enjoyed it so much last year and know its still worth the money.
Still doing really well on ebay, dh has decided to clear out some of his wartime collection to raise funds towards his ps3!! and i have now had feedback for the ds i sold last week, so can now but the other one on, didnt like to until i knew last seller was happy with theirs seen as they paid over £100 for it!! Hoping to do as well with the other one.
Right off for a tidy upstairs

Like I said yesterday, it's standard practice for the community nurse to do it and it looks like appalling neglect to me.
Hiya
I do normally get monitored weekly. I went the day before we went away (12 days ago) and it was high then but they gave me the wrong dose to take and I just took what they told me too as I always have. When I went yesterday it was really high.

Morning. :hello:
I have taken Miss Twit to school, she was off yesterday and slept most of it, but she feels better today.
DW on, Mr Twit is still snoozing, he has no work on at present and is finding it hard to get motivated, there is plenty to do here, but no inclination.
I need to go to the bank today and I am at work from 4-7, should be 5, but I will take my washing with me...got loads to do, the joys of no washer at home.
Lots of paperwork to sort out, but like Mr Twit, I've no desire to do it, although it does need doing. I'm sure I would find it easier to do if I could manage to parcel him off to work, otherwise, as soon as I make a start, he appears with something else for me to do or keeps commenting and offering advice.
I've got some mushy peas out of the freezer and a couple of tubs of 'cottage pie base' Mr Twit won't eat mash, one of the few things he does refuse, so when I make anything like that, I have to do him some other form of potato. but Miss Twit and I will have loads of mash.
Hilstep, I'm sure once they get your mum started on the feed, she will improve. My FIL had a PEG fitted about 20 months ago and the change was so encouraging. Touch wood he has not had any problems with the 'wound' and his weight is now very steady and they can keep his medication regular through it.
Hester....Jeremy Clarkson, bet you'll be dressing OH in jeans and a blazer next.
Aussie, I've found a new dishcloth site, it's one of the Yahoo groups, they do KALs (knit-a-longs) you get sent about 7 or 8 rows a day. they do 2 a month.
Love and hugs to all.

Think that is what we call 'having a senior moment' :rotfl: .Nice to know you are squeaky clean now Aussie.0 -
Good morning everyone,
I'm late this morning, as dh took ds for a haircut, so I had a lie-in.
I made wholemeal bread in my BM last night, just for me and it's lovely. Dh prefers white, but you can't win 'em all, at least he likes the bread from the BM.
It's not raining here yet, but it's one of those grey days when the weather is doing nothing IYKWIM.
Hugs for anyone that is still feeling rough. I've had my breakfast (poached egg on my lovely bread), so I'd best go and get on with the ironing now.
Take care all of you0 -
