  • Do you think I should put a complaint in? I just cant afford for them to make such mistakes with my health being poor. I am seeing them again next Thursday. I really dont know what to do as Im not really thinking straight ATM.

Well it's seriously neglectful. If you were having all those symptoms like nose bleeds, bruising and headaches it's a wonder you made it on holiday at all.
I simply can't believe that mistakes like that could happen, and with your fragile state of health I would hope they would triple check everything. It just seems to be one mistake after another with your care.
A few weeks ago I was really worried about your haemoglobin level as it was dangerously low but you said they wouldn't give you a transfusion because it would kill you. Then they did the next week. And what about the 2 hospital trips you made on holiday? Didn't they pick up that something was wrong???
I know your consultant is very good. Why don't you have a word with him.

pp - that's great on the ebay front. I have managed to sell a few items this week, but I'm never sure about starting prices, postage and actually what's worth trying to sell and what's not! Any tips or a thread to read recommendation?????

hope that no more mistakes occur re: the medication :)

    Hi all,
just popped back for a quick catch up.

I can`t believe how many people had dreams last night!
If i do have one i rarely remember it, in fact last night was the most sleep (and best) i`ve had all week. There must be a dream bug going around :D

I`m starving now so i`m off to look for something to eat so will hopefully catchup again later.

Hillstep2000 - hope your mum is feeling better soon!

  • Hello, me again all.
I come back for a quiet cup of coffee and a rest to read this thread and instead am bombarded with hormonally charged dodgy dreams:D
Just spent the last hour fighting with ds2's scalextrix in his room. He wanted a loop put in it:rolleyes: After an hour and a bleeding finger - rang DH in a strop and he said leave it until he gets back from work and he'll do it:A Now I know why i love him:o
Weather still grot. Waiting for the garage to ring up about car. Just about to go and do battle with tidying spare room and being ruthless with stuff we don't use any more.
Made cake and confectioners custard last night and think i might have to refuel with a dollop or two of that before I attack any more jobs today. More coffee first to keep me going of course.

PP, I would complain, I've had 2 family members on warfarin, and they were regulated very carefully as too much can mean you bleed to death. Write down the complaint and why you want something done so this doesn't happen to you, or anyone else again.

You can put the letter on here and we can help with editing it if you want.

Hilstep hugs to your mum hope she starts feeling better soon
Penny-Pincher I think you should complain it is such a worry that peoples life and health relies on the medical profession they must get the doses right you do not want to be put in that situation again or anyone else for that matter hugs and hope you are feeling better today
got reduced chicken fillets in thai sauce for tea tonight not something I would normally buy but with yellow stickie on that brought price down to 49p I couldnt refuse they was originally £3.50 who would pay that for 2 chicken breasts with a bit of sauce on, I have been really good and apart from giving DD dinner money not spent any money since Sat on food although fruit bowl is empty it can wait till tomorrow
hugs to anyone that needs one hope to pop back laterxx

Thanks HJ. I didnt have a blood transfusion, I had a special type of iron infusion. I think the main problem is that I am under 8 different consultants and they dont communicate well with each other. The Walfarin clinic is seperate, so I think I will try and compile a complaint letter for next week.
