The hovering broomstick you can just about see out there, up there...yes, there, is me, bm, being the good witch for you overnight and through these next few days.

We're all still with you - and if anyone knows what I've done with the such-and-such that's been lost all day, PLEASE TELL ME NOW.
I tried to accuse mot of hiding it when we spoke earlier, but she was laughing too much to confess - a clever tactic.

How I'll be on 22nd though is anyones guess. I told hubby we watch it online too so it is not a problem, but the thought of no Lost..... especially the last episode, can you imagine......

There is some great stuff on at the moment - does anyone watch House MD with Hugh Laurie? I love it so much. Desperate Housewives. Heroes. Lost. So many things to watch right now. :)

    Last warning, mot............

I am pinning hopes on having included it with an etching I sent off. If so, contingency plan in hand - I've been lucky in dealing with lovely peeps, all of whom confess similar 'events'.

A, did you find 'it' I missed what you was looking for, LOL!!

Had 2 lovely ladies around today who collected my market stall from me so that money pays for us to have a nice weekend, plus we are buying a new vivarium for the snake too. That is something to do on Sunday now.

I have called about the points, I spoke to the lady I have been speaking to from homeless. I asked here what to put on the form for the courtand she said 'to tell them that the council have nowhere for us and the homeless accomodation was unsuitable for my son', I said I could not put that but.... I had found something we wanted to apply for. She told me was fantastic and that she was going to ask about the additional points straightaway.

So, sprinkle your magic dust please and keep everything crossed.

Everything seems to be 'right'. Weirdness though, we live in XXX Road, the one we have applied for is in XXX End Road. We live at Number 13, the 'new' one is Number 49 (4+9=13) Weirdness, right??!!

I've just found a lovely shed/workshop so I would be able to get my stock out of storage and can again work from home around the children. I've 1 years storage money put away and this will pay for the new shed/workshop and it is HUGE and will fit perfect at the bottom of the garden so I can get back to work in time for the Xmas Sales then.

I feel calm and happy, I told my husband if we do not get this then it was not meant to be and something better was waiting - even if we had to go into the hostel first. However, he pi!!ed me off by keeping on telling me I had to call her every day to find out if we had more points I said I would call on Wednesday and he said no, before then and I said 'no, don't you think I have done enough already, goodbye' and put the phone down! So now I have told him I will not call and ask, we will wait. If we do not get it then we will go to the hostel and wait there, something better will come along.

I have had a thought though regarding the stay. If this house does not come off I am going to go to the court and tell them that my landlord (mother) does not have a buyer and we are going to a hostel which is unsuitable for my son (and have the council letter to prove this) so can they give us until the end of JULY because our rent is still being paid and the children can finish school. I am going to tell them the LL can agree, she will have a date of us having to leave so can give this to her buyers as a completion date, she still gets the rent in that time and the kids can finish school and I'll not have 3 journeys a day to do there and back. What do you think? You don't ask you don't get after all. I guess they might ask the LL if this is suitable and that would suit everyone then. I am so pleased to have come up with a solution, LOL!!

Off to get my son shortly and update the ladies at the library. Tomorrow we are off to Gullivers for the day so we can all have a break and forget about all of this for 24 hours at ;east.

And then we have to wait until letter drops through our door to tell us whether or not we have been successful in our application.

PS. LOL, I have found out that I CAN find out if they have given us more points by looking at the website where it is all based and that tells me how many my current points are. Should I tell my husband or make him wait....... hmmmmmm........

    Question for you:

If the houses on this weeks list or not suitable, how long might you have to wait until a suitable house appears on the list?

I guess I'm saying that it may be worth taking a nearly suitable house rather than living in a hostel for an indefinite time. After all, you know in your heart of hearts that the hostel is not really suitable, even temporarily.

    Fingers crossed for you.

Hello bm - no, not found yet.

Will you forgive me if I say I'm with your husband on this - that you must keep nagging away at them AT LEAST DAILY.
I'm glad you're feeling calm, but please keep on the case - the Fates can always do with a hefty shove.

Ah, yes I suppose you are right too. However, it is bank holiday Monday and so I'll give them a call on Tuesday... Right this minute I just feel that what will be will be and that I need a week off from the stress, LOL, I wonder if that is possible now we have to wait a WEEK before we hear anything *sigh*. I checked the internet, still have the same number of points and 8 other people have 'expresed an interest' now. I hate not knowing where we are on the list as it does not tell you that until after the application closes.

SC, I know what you are saying, what will happen is that if we pick 3 and we are at the top of the list for all 3, they choose which one they feel is best for you and whatever they choose then we will have to take that. you do not get to see all 3 and if they make you an offer ad a new list comes out you cannot apply for anything else until you have decided on the first place.

I tried to call HA and get the numbers of the houses, LOL, but thet kept on fobbing me off and would not tell me which ones they were. How annoying!! The one we saw first had one of those open gas fires which is a no-no as I fear little fingers, material, toys, etc... will be poked into it so this is why we was peeking in the windows - so we would not waste an option, get offered and be stuck in a house where I was having to keep the lounge door locked. That just seems daft. The thought of having a house where Ryan has access to gas and can turn it on and walk away just terrifies me as he just does not understand the danger factor, no matter how many times I tell him he still wanders in and out of the road. As I said, we have been spoilt here - people know him and will take him off the road for me and look after him until I am able to catch up.

The MP said he was going to be on the case with the points this morning, the council themselves have again said that TA is unsuitable so maybe they will be feeing kind and give us the points as they have said and sort us out. If it does not happen then I know I have done all I can to try and I have done all I can. I hate that it is down to one person saying yes or no and them leaving us waiting to find out. That is a bit cruel and nasty really knowing the stress we are under anyay. The other side is though, if someone else already in a hostel applies then they will have more points than us and we cannot really begrudge them a home if they need it more than us, can we?

This has been the first place suitable since it started 2 months ago, so yes, it is hard descision. Once we move that will be it, we will not be able to move if it is unsuitable - we will be making oursleves homeless if we refuse it - and you are not allowed to keep on turning the options down, so it is silly to waste the choices. I have made one choice so far, I am going to take another drive round and see if I can find the other empty houses and then can make the other 2 choices from there.

A, what was it you lost anyway?? I missed that bit!!

Do you know what BM, I want to give you the greatest virtual hug I can.

To me its like you've been steering a sinking ship in a vast ocean, trying to find somewhere to land safely and whilst steering, caring, repairing, coping, and most of all not giving up.

If there is any justice in the country then I add my spiritual push for you and yours to find that home you deserve so much.

Hi blue monkey ....regarding the fire..I still think that you should take the house as you can put a fireguard up.As others have said a near perfect house is better than a hostel or homelessness. There are plenty of safety devices on the market to childproof houses.
I also agree with the others to chase your points every day and it's great your MP is dealing with it.Council houses are so hard to come by nowadays and at least if you get one it can be adapted to whatever is needed.I wish you luck and maybe when I get back you will be in your new shiny home.
