Oh don't encourage her Pam. What did Mr Mouse say Churchie?;):D
  • :A I really think you should have a grumble from time to time you know, or else I can't come on and tell you all how I burned my finger on the breadmaker:rotfl: ( Please don't fret too much, i think I'll live:o )

You put your feet up, Churchie, and get DH to get you some wine in your *special sized* glass. Hope you feel better soon.

Pam - you're perfectly entitled to have a moan from time to time - we all need to do it.

Julia - good to see another penguin. Have you been counted yet  :rotfl:

Off to the start of the new term at choir, then maybe to the pub  I've been called in to an emergency staff meeting at w*** tomorrow, to discuss the redundancy situation

    Enjoy your evenings, Penny. x

    Well it was either
    * oh my beloved, you poor thing, let me minister to you, that must really hurt*
    or
    * you stupid cow, why don't you use an oven glove* (instead of the damp teatowel, that was my preferred choice:o )

All vote now:rotfl: ( He did fetch the burn stuff:D )

    Evening all,

I haven't read all of the thread yet so hope I haven't missed any major dramas. ((((HUGS)))) if anyone needs them.

I've not been on OS this week as first week back at work - though it feels as like I've been back weeks and weeks! When I can get onto MSE I've been on the up your income board as per my signature!

I feel really tired today so I'm looking forward to the weekend and am crossing my fingers that the weather picks up as I really need to get back to the allotment!

On the subject of weather do any of the other school teachers or even parents notice that when it's windy the children are far more hyperactive than normal?!?

Anyway, off to do clicks and reviews and then marking to get on with!
    Hope you're all well.
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

    Evening all,

Rather late posting today, but it has been one of those days.
Yesterday, I noticed that a slate had come off the roof....I even posted on here that the cars were fine....I didn't notice the huge scratch on Mr Twit's van windscreen. Oh well, new one fitted today, it was right where you would look through the screen, so couldn't get away with leaving it..

Pen-Pen..yes that is a HM dishcloth as my avatar (sad).

Hugs to all and welcome to the newbies and those who have returned.

I`m curled up on the sofa now and i`m considering going up to bed to read for a while then when i feel tired enough to nod off later on i`ll be in the right place.
After work today i went straight into the kitchen and used up a lot of veg etc from the bottom of the fridge and made curry and rice (times 6) for the freezer and made sandwiches for tomorrow - all the usual stuff.
The dw is loaded and ready to go on, the bm and coffee maker are the same.
I`m off to hit the hay with my book now as i think the sandman will call sooner rather than later.
    Have a relaxing evening everyone!

Hi everyone. I got home today and eldest DD had put the wm on. Both DDs have emptied and refilled dw and even managed to switch it on too!!! I am so impressed. One DD has now gone upstairs and 2nd DD is avidly tidying kitchen! :j this is unheard of. I only told them to empty dw. I did have a 'chat' with them last nigh re. doing more to help get rid of the washing mountain.
I have been thinking of potatoes and onions baked in the oven all day so i have prepped them and put a chicken pie out of freezer into oven too. just got other veg to sort-got some cheap veg on way home from work tonight. Just playing catchup on pc before one of kids commandeers it!!!
Hope all who are well stay well ands all who are ill get well soon. (((hugs))) for those who need or would like one.

    Evening

Well, went shopping earlier, must tot up my grocery spend

I have made a loaf of bread using the recipe on the back of the pack of flour. It is currently proving in the airing cupboard. I put it in the Kenwood to knead, but it just wrapped itself around the dough hook and didn't actually get anywhere - so I took it out and kneaded it by hand. I couldn't remember if bread dough goes really sticky, then sorts itself out, or if the stickiness means you need more flour. So I added a bit more flour, kneaded it a bit longer then just whacked it in the tin.

Got a phone call asking me to work 6am-6pm tomorrow and Saturday :eek  . I really am doing it for the money.

So, must get OH to get the shopping in now then and sort out my lunch for tomorrow.

Hope you all had a good day

Well...when I used to go riding the horses were always frisky when the wind was in their tail - and i know my dogs go mad at the common when it's windy, so the same probably happens to kids laughing-smiley-014.gif
