Good morning all
Been awake since 3.30am, on a day where I wanted a lie in. So far washed dishes and sorted out my accounts/spending diary, and will later make up some bolognese to freeze, probably in the slow cooker. My slot for doing laundry is between 1-5pm, but there's no-one before me so may get some stuff in earlier so I can do the bedding. Have to mop the kitchen and bathroom and do a general tidy, as well as make sure my friend gets on the bus okay (she's been staying here the last couple of days, which has been fun) so she can catch her train.
Hope everyone is okay and hugs to those who want them.Purple Penguin Power!

Morning folks
Still feel half asleep as i didn't sleep that well (there seems to be a few of us suffering from that on here today!). I haven't followed the flylady rule of dress to shoes as have on my old slippers and my hair is uncombed, makeup bag still in cupboard. I think it does make a difference when you do it though so will have to try harder!
I watched Martin's programme last night and this morning I have contacted Amazon for a £4 refund as an item of mine has dropped in price.Maybe not a huge amount but it's better in my pocket than theirs. I would never have known about the Amazon price deal thingie. Am going to spread the word around friends and family.
Going to library today + bank + make appointment to get my eyes tested (use glasses bought from the library for reading at the moment)
Other than that, I'll have a bout of tidying up and some more tap cleaning with my vinegar bottle!!
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all
Feeling much better this morning - helps that DD's have both gone back to school too.
I've swished the bathroom - just need to lug the hoover up there in a bit and then wash the floor - our bed's been stripped and duvet is airing over the bannisters for a couple of hours. WM is on it's final spin and DW is ready to go on once this cup of tea is finished.
Tonight dinner is gammon (left over from xmas) with mash and veg - might make some onion gravey to go with it too.
Going to crack on and get a few more bags made today (nice free pattern on another thread if you're interested) and then work out a pattern for making a couple of patchwork aprons - need to find the measurments of a standard apron for guidance (if anyone wants to measure there for me I'd be really pleased).
Had a credit card statement yesterday that showed a £12 late payment fee - was a bit confused to gave them a call - they said my payment was 1 day late but when I checked my statement I found that it was printed on the 23rd december with payment being due by the 29th - I wouldn't have recieved the bill until the 27th/28th because of christmas so how was I supposed to do that?? I got told that I should have noticed it was an error and that my payment is always due by the 29th and I should have anticipated the bill and paid it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he was condesending too - I then said "fine, I'll just go and check my rights with Martin Lewis's web site and get back to you"........to which I was told "on this occasion we'll credit the £12 back to you".......result!
Anyway - enough waffle from me. Have a good day all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning all :hello:
Slept in this morning so the whole day will be a bit skew whiff. Still manage to find time to come on here though.
Off to the office in a bit but the housework is behind so i'll try and get away an hour early to catch up before the girls get home.
Salmon fishcakes and salad for tea so I need to make some more breadcrumbs. Then I have an evening of filing paperwork planned.
Pam...Get help filling in the DLA forms. They are an absolute bu g g er. You should be entitled to higher rate mobility component. I've been on it for 3 years and probably will be for the rest of my life. It really is very helpful for paying for the extras that come with poor mobility.
Good luck to your mum Hillstep.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning All
Will have to be quick as have someone turning up for a business meeting any minute.
I also watched Martins programme last night - I wish I had half his energy. It has spurned me to look into the mortgae exit fee thingy - I did know about it but kept putting it off.
After meeting think might pop into town if it isnt pouring with rain by then, I am eating carefully now and drinking loads of water but I am suffering with bloating even more so I want to get some peppermint vitamins, cant stomach the tea.
Pizza with salad for tea tonight, (mainly salad for me).
Have a great day.

So far been to post office, sorted out money for kids trips that need paying today and i forgot to send it, but my friend who is a TA at their school popping in at lunch to pick it up.
Mrs Mix i forgot you are trying to stop smokng too, im sure with the support from the crazy lot on here we will be able to do it!! It already started making little changes ready for starting the course next week including no smoking in the car or in the house, making myself stand outside backdoor in the pouring rain if i want one! Hopefully this will mean i cut down before next week!! Fingers crossed.
Right off to track a few ebay parcel make sure they arrived, and have a good tidy up, having lamb dinner tonight, i tried a new way of doing shep pie last night including adding baked beans and using stockand flour rather than gravy, and the kids and dh loved it, so much so hes taken the extra i made for freezing to work for his lunch!! RESULT!!
Right catch up with you all later

Morning Everyone
I'm free, I'm free :rotfl: :rotfl: DD has gone to nursery for her extra morning and for the first time in 3 years I have a morning where I'm not looking after dd or at work. So I'm doing absolutely nothing for an hour. I have made a cup of coffee in my large cup that I never use because it always goes cold before I get to the bottom.
For the rest of the day I'm quiet busy. I need to go to Aldi after I've picked dd up and then the bank and to register at a new dentist. Trying to continue to use the contents of the freezer so I need to do a meal plan before I go out. I really should be doing some ironing now but it'll still be there this afternoon.
Later on I will be doing my new exercise video so if are in my area and feel an earthquake at about 7.30 it will be me
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning all! Windy and cloudy here this morning, not very pleasant really.
good luck to Hilstep's mum, hope things go well.
Hugs to all those still poorly. I'm worried about my DSis who was not well at Christmas, she's STILL unwell and coughing for England but refuses to go to a doctor  , is just taking over-the-counter remedies which are not working. I'm trying to work out if I can drive down to London to see her in the next few days but I've already promised my elderly mum that we will go over to her at the weekend so I can't really see how I can manage it. I suppose I should just leave her to it as she is 47 :rotfl: .
One load of washing already done and when I went into DS21's room to strip his bed I found the cat already curled up under his duvet. Bless her, she misses him as much as I do
Must put a seeded loaf into the Panny and get some ironing done. House was cleaned through yesterday and I've swished and swiped the bathroom and loo this morning so not much else to do.
Have a great day everyone.
