We treat the kids to F&B every now and again. The kids meal has always been pretty good value at £3.95 including free refills on drinks and a dessert. But we were disappointed recently to find they have changed the portion sizes. You now only get two small nuggets instead of three large strips of breaded chicken on the chicken strips meal!
My daughter has a limited diet and the only thing she will eat is the chicken strips. These come with chips, which she doesn't like, and a small "salad" (a slice of cucumber and tomato).
When we asked the manager he said there is now a new chicken strips meal on the junior menu and you do get three strips, plus tortilla wraps, but this is £6.25. In fairness he said is was a head office directive and was very apologetic, he gave us an extra meal of nuggets/strips on the house.
But I think it's pretty poor that they have done this, and poorer still that the menus aren't clearer.0 -
The last post reminded me of my last experience of Frankie and Bennies - god this place as gone down hill.
Ordered their tomato and basil soup for starters actually came quite quickly but it tasted like a cheap tin of chopped tomatoes and didn't have any of the croutons like usual.
Had to wait 40 mins between finishing starter and main course even though the place was only 1/3 full.
I ordered the New York chicken. If anyone doesnt know this usually a butterfly chicken fillet, streaky bacon, with loads of bbq sause and topped with melted cheese, Usually comes with two small corn on the cobs and fries. This cost around 12 pounds and this time the plate was only half full. The chicken was the same size as usual but no bacon there hardly any cheese on the chicken - which was dry and tough. They had only gave me one piece of corn and the portion of fries was smaller than my cousions childs meal. You could actually count them {incase anyone wonders there was 19 fries:rotfl:.}
My Husbands was slightly better he ordered the Manhatten Burger. The burger itself was fine but again the portion of fries was smaller than on the childs menu again. For all the things to scrimp on!
It then took twenty minutes to get the bill and then another 15 mins to actually get the attention of the waiter for him to take our cash. I was actually going to buy one of there bottles of balsamic vinager but after all that i decided against.0 -
I had a proper rubbish visit in the Frankies near me. I phoned the Head Office lot and they sorted it out for me. I'd reccomend dropping a line to this e-mail address and they'll sort you out: chloe.jefferies@trgplc.com0

The garlic bread I ordered from their Jenkins Lane branch was mouldy! They did offer me a free replacement, but I declined having strangely lost my appetite.

My experience is that it is either OK or awful. I guess it depends on who is cooking!0

There are two f n b restaurants within a few miles of my house and the difference between them is incredible! In the first, hubby and I have received shockingly bad service and would never return. In the second, it is very professional and offers excellent service! Lack of consistency between restaurants seems to be an issue for them!
Having said that, we complained about the food at the first restaurant and it was immediately replaced, no questions asked. I'd recommend dealing with such problems as they arise in future op.0 -
f&b is bloody terrible IMO0
