    Good Morning All

Here's hoping everyone is ok. Ive not had the chance to get on the last couple of days. Did yer Miss me??? Nah - didnt think so!

Back easing up, but my glands in my throat are up now. Feels as if Im gargling on marbles! (sorry HH, just had the thought of you - marbles - and a telephone call)

Catowen - glad to see the bloods are ok. Best of luck for today
    (((hugs))) mrs mix
Pooky - belated congratulations for your wedding anniversary
HH - Hope you enjoyed the virgin-vie party, I like to use one of their face creams, but I'll be damned if I spend £17 on it (look on ebay, and get it much cheaper) Im like you, I avoid spending or just simply dont go.
dlb - well done on those ebay sales! I watch until the last minute too (if time allows me)
(((hugs))) GB, hope the funeral went of on saturday!

OH managed to do this wk's shop for £42, whoo hoo, its getting better! And we still have plenty in! Best bargain was when I text OH and told him to buy a personality and to come home in a better mood! He did get one, (as he actually said hello when he returned) but I didnt see it on the receipt. :rotfl:

Spent the wk end, tidying up, sorting out stuff & clearing out, listing on ebay, finished the crochet baby shawl for my boss (she starts her maternity leave on Friday) made more cards. I had some me time for a change!
Then it was get things ready for return back to school y-day! Back to Normal!

    Best be off
    Love Emma xxx

    Morning :hello:

I was going to walk to the office today, stopping at the post office, fruit and veg shop and the co-op on the way then catch the bus back. But I haven't got the energy so I'm going to the local post office (4 mins walk away), mr tru is getting a bit of shopping on the way home from work and he's giving me a lift to the office later so I can pick up some work to do at home tomorrow :T

Not much planned for today, there's loads I want to do - especially the garden - but I'm taking mioliere's advice and taking it easy  I keep finding myself staring at the garden out of the kitchen window, I'm dying to get stuck in to it :D

I was meant to be at a work awayday today. But I didn't realise I had to go, and then DH had an all-day meeting. But I couldn't have gone in any case because DS got a dodgy tummy yesterday (poor lady in after school club had to deal with it ... fortunately she bravely saved the trousers, which have recovered now with the help of rinse and spin). I'm not sure how much work-work I'll get done, as DS is likely to veg out in front of the tv and I hate background noise. I think I'll take the opportunity to figure out one-note on my new version of Office.

On the OS front, this is a great opportunity to do a bit of batch cooking. I am planning to make pizza for tea, and some soup as a first course (fennel, white beans, I think). Do stuffed baked potatoes freeze well? I have masses of ham I need to use. I'll also do a batch of chilli con carne and one of bolognese sauce (the meat needs to defrost first). Unfortunately I don't have a lot of freezing containers, so I'm limited in how much advance stuff I can do. I might do a little housework too.

    Morning all

Cat - Good luck at the hospital today - fingers crossed for you.

Odds - Hope your feeling better too.

Hugs to the rest of you poorlies.

Well I actually slept last night - what a relief, but didn't want to get up this morning. Got one of those really sinusy headaches and plan to do nothing but veg and do some crochet for the rest of the day. DD1 is still in bed feeling grotty and DD2 had to be forced to school but I get the feeling she's coming down with this cold/flu too. Spoke to the headmaster on the school run this morning, told him to turn the heating down and make them put their jumpers on in class......just find it silly that it's so warm in the classrooms that the kids come out sweaty - turn the heat down, open a few windows and let some germs out!!! (rant over!)

DW is just about to go on, WM needs to go on as eldest cat decided to throw up over 2 blanets and a rug last night - lovely to come down to this morning.

Jacket spuds for tea - going to cook 12 up (bargin bag in Sainsburys this week) and freeze the rest down for another day.

Hope you all have a great day.

  • Morning all, boys at school, car in the garage for the expensive verdict - not looking forward to THAT phone call:eek:

    Catowen, fingers crossed from me.:A

Donnygal, got any room for a family of four over there?;)

Got to get on with a deep clean of the kitchen/living room today and get a raisin loaf into the bm. Washing machine, first load done. Weather here wet and windy yuk even more yuk if we get caught in it coming back from school. Feeling a little tired and lethargic today, must pull myself up and get started. Hugs to all who need them and see you again later when i allow myself a quick coffee break:o
