Paypal investigating me

RussLE - glad to hear that you contacted the other buyers, we need to spread the word that this can happen when using paypal. I have NO idea this sort of thing went on before all this happened - I am aware that I should have read the T&C's better but even if I had I would have presumed that people were honest and that nothing would ever be recalled from me...... that'll teach me for trusting people wont it!
I think it is unlikely you will see your item again - really sorry to hear that but at least you have tried - post office does sound a little dodgy! Did you see the TV programme about them tonight?!
Paypal have emailed me yet again with no answer to my question about what grounds they have taken the money - this could go on for a while as I AM NOT giving in!2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0 -
I have spoke further with the Police and the post office and now they are considering placing another card through the letter box that a parcel is waiting for him at the sorting office....
and then getting him on camera when he tries to collect it!
lets see if they go through with it!?!?!Click COLOR=Red]HERE[/COLOR to participate in my latest finger exercise program!!0 -

Listen, you can't assume that the postal workers are crooked! If they try to make a delivery to what seems to be an empty house, of course they HAVE to put a card through the letterbox - just because the house is empty it doesn't mean it doesn't belong to somebody - and then they can't refuse to hand over parcels if someone comes in to collect them with the card that was put through the letterbox - if the posties were crooked they'd have just walked away with your parcel in the first place instead of trying to deliver it. Why on earth did you think you'd be able to stop them delivering the parcels anyway? That would be tampering with the mail, and it's illegal.
I don't think it's at all suspicious that the manager remembered the guy coming in to collect the parcels without you telling him what number house it was - don't forget you'd already been in there making a song and dance about it beforehand - I'd be more surprised if he DIDN'T remember!
If the Police are going to investigate it further, great.
Oh, and as for your comment: "In an area of Birmingham that if you stood long enough to try to photo the building, your shoes and socks would be stolen", let's have some manners please! Granted that Ombersley Road is not the most salubrious area of Brum, but there are a lot of hard working honest people living in that area, so please don't assume that it's a hotbed of criminal activity or judge a community that you know absolutely nothing about!

Kate
Kate,
Obviously your a postwomen from Birmingham or something!
I can ASSUME things if I want!
And as for him remembering because I had already been in there ranting and raving the day before...
I HADN'T!!!!
It was the first contact I had made with the sorting office...
and as I said, with ALL the post that people must pick up each day....he remembered the TWO parcels being picked up by the guy without me even given a house number!!!!
Also....my picture painting of the area was as precise as I could give it!!!!
Are you telling me, Kate, that there is no suburb that you have driven through and just flicked your lock switch down because of the feeling you get of the place.
And.....
Your right about the hardworking people in the area......
But i'm mainly talking about the hardest working one of all....
a criminal in their midst....
Stealing from me and others!!!
So trying respecting that before you read between the lines!

kit wrote:I sent the parcel via royal mail standard parcels - he wouldnt even have received it until today at the earliest so I dont know how he can report me for not receiving it!
I understand now that I cant prove delivery so I will lose this battle.
You can claim against Parcels - Royal Mail - £30 if no extra insurance (you didn't send them without upping the insurance to £100? (45pish).
If you send something via an untracked/signed for service then you have to accept buyers claim of non-delivery. The PO say they'll consider it lost after 15 working days = 3 weeks.0 -
charlotte664 wrote:Really sorry - but if the payment was made from a stolen card, then it never was "your" money in the first place.
I know its annoying and heartbreaking, but you need to accept that this is highly unlikely to be found in your favour.
And yes - I have been on the recieveing end too.
Wrong Paypal take a fee to act as the merchant here - therefore they should take the risk NOT the seller. Paypal make a massive profit - they want to profit without reducing the risk. Paypal are a very dodgy outfit.. Rumours of Mafia involvement were dismissed as rediculous when first heard - sounding more and more believable..0 -

The parcel has been delivered - he has confirmed that to me.
I did higher the insurance when I posted it to him but cant really claim that he hasn't received it when he has stated the he has got it.
He just out to try and rip people off and, thanks to paypal, he has succeeded.2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0 -
