    Thanks guys.

Here is what I have decided to do:
In 15 mins I can (and will) report him as a NPB.
As soon as I have done this I will email the other buyers explaining the situ and ask if their sale was all ok.
If their sales were not ok I am going to contact paypal again (still heard nothing back from them or ebay) and explain that I am not the only one he has done this to.

I have just emailed my local police to see if this is classed a 'stealing' and if so asked what I / they can do.

I will not let him get away with this!

Good luck! Is the "buyer" still active on ebay?

    Thanks!
Yeh still active.... he was a newbie with 0 rating, he now has a rating of 2 due to the other 2 sellers leaving feedback as soon as he paid.

I will keep you all updated.

Have an update for you...... I contacted the sellers that left him positive feedback. The buyer has recalled his money from both of them too.
One of them had not sent their item so they only lost listing fees but the other has sent theirs like I did.

Looks like a con artist at work

Will this go in my favour with paypal?

i really hope so; are the other sellers in the process of a dispute? Perhaps you could email again and allow them specifically to mention your name/user naem, case number etc, perhaps they will allow you to do this also - that way perhaps paypal will sit up and take notice.
    What an absolute joke.

I wish to highlight what a rip-off Paypal is. Using EBay, I recently sold some concert tickets that I was unable to use because my husband was working. The transaction seemed to have gone smoothly when my Paypal account was credited with the correct amount, so I transferred the funds into my bank account. Paypal, of course, took their cut of £12.20 to cover their fees. Thirteen days after the transaction I received an e-mail from Paypal stating that the funds were unauthorised and that they were being withdrawn from my Paypal account. It suggested that we did not send the goods, but it was obviously too late at that stage. I had sent them recorded delivery. The e-mail asked for details of the transaction so that they could assess if I was eligible for the seller protection programme. I sent the information but when I didn't get a reply I phoned to ask what was going on, only to be told that there was nothing they could do.

What exactly did I pay £12.20 for? I thought this was supposed to be a secure service and when you received the money, it had been cleared by the relevant bank/credit card.
I am now £353 in the red on my Paypal statement and without the item that I sold. How long are people supposed to wait before they send their items to buyers?

I'm going to stick to personal cheques in the future and urge everyone else to do the same.

I must admit that I think agree with the buyer, as when he pays for the goods, he has fulfilled his part of the contract. Thus, feedback should be left immediately by the seller.

Could you post this so called buyers ebay ID, so we can all avoid him?

This has gone beyond leaving feedback - he has conned 3 sellers, 2 of which have left good feedback.

This PROVES that feedback should not be left as soon as the buyer has paid. The other 2 sellers left good feedback for this buyer and now he has ran off with their items without paying - if I had left good feedback then he may have been able to con others with the same account until ebay shut him down. At least now I can leave negative feedback and others will know not to let him buy their items.

His username is 'closureforyou'. Maybe I should have seen this as a bit of a sign that he was a conman.

On the plus side, the police have contacted me and asked me to go in and give a statement so they can look in to it on the grounds of theft and deception. :T

Oh well I've blocked his id too seeing as I sell similar items - although I think no-one's going to sell to him now anyway with him only showing 66%+ feedback! :T Nice to see the police taking an interest  hope they can help.
