    Mine, too.

There were problems with that tariff at the time. E.ON Next were denying knowledge of it, then it was pulled, then it wasn't pulled. It was at the beginning of the middle east conflict.

I'm trying to post the thread but can't convert the link.

I have an update re my moan.

I had what looked like a cut and paste message from MSE yesterday apologising again and saying that they've decided to make a good will payment to me.
They asked me to supply bank details through a secure link, which I did.
Today, I've had another message saying that the cash back will be paid within the next 10 working days.

I feel that the action they have now decided to take has been driven by my complaints in email and on forums and possibly through raising this issue with a complaint to ASA.
I would hope they are actually looking at this now and decide to ensure other poor unfortunates get the same treatment.
If its just a one off and they don't, I would say those affected should kick up a fuss (or continue to)

Of course my money is not in the bank yet!

  • 🤣 😂 Sorry, this made me laugh.

I hope it comes to pass, for you. Do let us all know when / if, you receive your cashback.

In the meantime, I haven't received sufficient acknowledgement apart from AI who failed their Maths A Level and will continue with my quest for justice.

Hmm, I'd beware of providing your bank details if you pay by DD? They should have them?

The cashback is paid by MSE. I very much doubt that anyone in this thread is paying MSE by DD!

    Thanks. 👍️
I think the bank details are with the new supplier (Eon) not MSE. Or MONY (formally MoneySupermarket)who seem to be managing the switches.
This might explain the lack of impetus to get these errant cash backs dealt with.
Its still MSE's responsibility as its their site of course.
Saying you'll get paid when we do is not acceptable.

My attempt to influence has included sending them my MSE Money Moral Dilemma. A feature MSE do to get people to write in with their suggestion.
    I wrote:

    Dear MSE,
    My Dilemma is.

MSE the money saving expert. Trusted by millions as morally incorruptible and the righter of wrongs.
My dilemma is who to turn to when they don’t honour what they say when switching energy suppliers from their site.

    I didn't get a response.

Maybe that email was what persuaded them.🤔

I've not been paid yet though. May the swords of justice prevail.

  • You submit your bank details when applying for the switch.

Previous cashbacks I've received from MSE went directly into the bank and i wasnt asked for bank details.

I hear you not_a_new_user but the request came on the same (long) email chain from all my correspondence with MSE. I checked the email addresses were from MSE and the link appeared kosher.

I know it may feel unbelievable that they would pay, but I think they might.

  • I hope so, you've got further than I have. 😊

I'm just overly cautious of scams. 😁

Fair enough. Me too. I think you have to be, they come at you from every direction it seems.
Hopefully they will do the right thing for you and pay up soon.
