TalkTalk full fibre offer

Yes , pending CMA (competition and mergers authority) etc ( I never disputed that ) , but at the moment the only thing that’s changed is the immediate threat that TT would cease trading leaving millions of customers at risk of simply being switch off (although that was unlikely) ….TT will probably disappear as a brand , BT will not want it to continue long term , but in the short term it still has millions of customers like you , you haven’t become a BT customer just because BT have basically made an offer that’s been accepted by the seller to take control of their failing businesses , so your choices are pretty much the same as they always were …. stay with TT as you are on FTTC , or move to TT FTTP (assuming they are processing requests) these options will be short term , whatever BT decides to do will affect you , or you change providers picking the new one yourself , before BT absorbs TT and whatever they put in place comes to pass.
As far as ISP’s that also provide telephony on FTTP , do your own research, but BT and EE both offer telephony, Plusnet the other BT Group ISP is the likely destination for most TT customers (in my opinion) and as a budget brand there is the most synergy with TT customer base , but they don’t supply telephony any longer , so chances are TT customers wanting to keep telephony will be offered EE or BT , and if the TT terms are maintained , then there is no option to leave , unless of course the customer wants to , then ETC may be applicable.
About the only thing you can guarantee, is you won’t be a Talk Talk customer for more than a few months, but the new name in your bill (assuming you don’t proactively migrate yourself to a different provider) isn’t known as BT only just decided to take over TT and the regulator and Government indicated they wouldn’t stop it happening as the alternative was TT going bust in a messy way .

The acquisition of TT by BT might still be a few months away and there could be some evolutions of how exactly any change actually happens.
A few days back, there were a couple of other acquisition discussions which fell through and Government comments reported about a SoLR-type process being required.
Then BT have tabled an acquisition offer only for some others (including Virgin) to say that it is all a stitch-up. The thing is, I don't recall any reports that those others (like Virgin) had made offers to acquire TT before, nor that they will now do so. Maybe there will be alternative offers…
