You are just paying the store card off using a credit card,If you use tesco card,it then becomes credit card debt to Tesco. When the 0% deal on purchases runs out you can then start balance transfering to other credit cards eg Barclaycard

ps have you asked barclaycard for a deal on purchases ?
I have a deep burning indifference
  • Transfer my balance on my credit card to my husbands ? I dont have a good credit rating and got a Vanqish card to try to better this but the interest is very high. My Husband has said if its possible he will apply for a 0% interest card and transfer my balance to make it easier for me ??

Before we try this i just wanted to know if this is possible ?

Am new to this site, but I have just been turned down for an egg card to transfer a balance. I have an existing loan with them but have just transferred a balance to a different card.Am trying to sort out my finances at long last. I'm not sure what to do now. Is it worth me applying for another one? I checked my credit score and its good and I never miss any payments. Any advice would be appreciated.[/QUOTE

forget about being turned down by egg try one of the easier cards ie capital one, rbs, halifax is usually ok but egg is part of halifax, also supermarket cards tesco, sainsburys i have swopped about with all of these for years and i can still get 0% you are right not to try to many at once if you get knocked back more thn 3 times leave alone for at least 3 mths but if you history os ok you wonthave a problem with any of the above and you can apply online cap one is the fastest to reply good luck:j

  • hi all, i decided to follow one of martins tips & transfer my cc balance from the post office to barclaycard 0% for 17months & wish i didnt bother it is a total nightmare!!!!! sorry martin.
first of all was accepted for the card which was recieved in 5 days. then called b/card to activate the card & then was asked if i wanted to do a balance transfer for which i said yes & asked for the 0% over 17months. after 3 weeks still heard nothing about the balance transfer so called b/card & they told me there was no balance transfer showing on my account. so i asked why? & they said it was a human error so thought yeah ok that happens so asked them politely if they could do it again. they said yes but the 0% over 17months offer had finished & i could only have 0% over 12months & they would waive the £50 balance transfer fee. so ok not happy but i could pay it over 12 months anyway. recieved my first statement to which the balance transfer fee had not!! been waived! so called barclaycard customer services to see why not! then was told my balance transfer fee had been waived & this would show on my second statement!!! then was told the amount i owed was double what i transfered!!! so now my balance with b/card has doubled & my previous credit card with the post office is now in credit by the amount transfered. barclaycard said they would retrieve this back as it was there mistake!!! but nothing has been done!! this has cost me over £30 in phone calls to try & sort all this out & has been an utter nightmare & its still not sorted! any savings i was going to make seem to be wasted calling b/card for what is there mistake!! barclaycard just dont want to know!!! i just feel lost as no one there seems to know whats going on !!!!!! please help!!!!!!!!!!!! any advice greatly appreciated.
  • Hi,
Do you know if its possible to transfer balances from my partner's card to a new 0% card in my name? He has a poor credit score so would probably be refused, but is paying high intestest changes on two cards.

Any replies or advice gratefully received!
