To anyone taking out a credit card with RBS for the 0% on balance transfares, make sure you tell them you want the 0% on the transfare or you will not get it. I recently accquired one but did not mention the 0% on balance transfares then transfared my debt and am still paying interest, they gave me the 0% on purchases which i didn't ask for and don't want, so i now have to go through another balance transfare hope this helps.0

Hi,
I currently have a Virgin credit card (MBNA) on which I used its balance transfer offer of 0% for 16 months.
This offer is due to expire in January 2011.
As I still have a significant balance on this card I am looking to find a similar 0% transfer offer in the coming months.
Virgin have recently sent me letters offering a similar 13 month 0% offer for new balance transfers.
I wondered if it would be worth asking them to apply this offer to my existing balance, otherwise I will transfer to another card and close the account?
Has anyone tried this recently with Virgin?
Thanks,

Hi there,
My partner's currently paying off debt on a credit card. I'd like to help him out so that he pays it off quicker, but he's got quite poor credit history so can't get the 0% balance transfer cards. Is there a way that I can open a card in my name and shift his debt across, or a way that I could act as a guarantor so that he could get a card approved? If either of these are possible, how would it affect my credit rating?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi there, could someone help me with a problem please ? I have just got a card with 16 month 0% balance transfer but need to know if balance transfers can only be for debt on another card that was owed before I got my new card or can I purchase something on my old card now and transfer it now so I have 16 month to pay it off ? Thank you.0
