In the octoplus section of the app you can get to rewards history and see the old QR codes. Possibly too late now, but maybe useful for next time.

I think it's on the main octoplus page, scroll down, it shows octoplus history and the other tab octoplus rewards history. I think thats the location, but I've claimed mine so I'm not 100% sure as it won't let me see the QR code (guessing because it's already been claimed, or I'm looking in the wrong place maybe?)

But I agree with others, screenshot for the win! Plus I delete the screenshot after redeeming it so it reminds me if I've used it or not.

Oh yes, never thought of doing a screenshot - done for this week now thanks!

I did look through the Octopus Rewards section of Octoplus and it just said Reward expired - no QR code 😢 - had to pay for my own coffee - but saved money by not getting my usual cake with it 😂.

Screenshotting is a great idea - thanks for that, now done for this week so I will hopefully get my free cuppa!

So its not fairer, its the same sort of treats, just for people who visit these outlets, no free food on greggs deliveries. Also share QrizB's concern about using gambling mechanics on this stuff. They should just get rid of the reward scheme instead as I agree with the other comments its a small set of customers who benefit from it. They seem to have misinterpreted the complaints by keeping it but now behind a gamble wall.

I don’t live anywhere near a Greggs or any of the other options.
I have not yet had a freebie that I can actually claim and use. I think I would be better off with a free twopence off my electricity bill.

It is a little weird the use of a gambling type scratchcard and it does seem to be more of a win a Greggs than anything else now.

One sausage roll and 2 coffees can't complain. We don't have a Greggs right on our doorstep but we do get out three times a week and pass them so it works out all good.

I think so far I've had one Nero (week 1), one or two Greggs coffees and two returned Lidl sweet treats.

I have Vitality, Octopus, and another company I don't recall (might be EE) all offering a free Caffe Nero coffee for playing some game.

Unfortunately there isn't a Caffe Nero in my town so I often don't use it if I "win" one anyway.

In addition to that I usually only remember there was some timeslot (Monday seems to be a current thing) required to participate after it's gone past.

Also, regarding Octopus, their "free energy" slots are of no use to me after having installed solar; I can't see me achieving the current "eclipse" one, as my daily usage is about 5-7p, which I think is just the noise floor of operating the system (eg. it being aware of the grid frequency).

I see it as a nice little bonus - doesn't cost me anything and sometimes I might get a little bonus from it. If the "prize" is something I won't use, then I just return it and accept that not everything in life is for me. As for the "gambling" aspect - it's no different to the Lidl Spin to Win or Scratchcard things - I've not heard anyone complaining about those. Again, sometimes they come up with something I won't use in which case I just let it go.
