I've put out fresh towels and tea towels. I've had a shower, washed my hair, shaved, moisturised, and got dressed in all clean clothes. All worn clothes were put in the laundry hamper which has been brought down and abandoned next to WM.
I've emptied the bins and put new bin bags in them.
Every little helps.
It may be cooler here but its still twot 🥵

Afternoon all,
Happy birthday, Jazee 🎂x
House guests left early this morning after breakfast to sustain their long drive back northwards. Wm x2 is currently swishing with bedding and the mattress protector (taking advantage of the sun), first load is on the line and probably dry after 30 minutes in the 30 degree heat that we are enduring. Kitchen is tidy, dw has just finished, kitchen and DR vacuumed, spare room in the process of making its transformation back to a craft room. Curtain material cutting out and curtain making needs to commence, maybe tomorrow, as I am pulling out all the stops to earn my sloth and procrastinator badges.8 -

Firstly hugs and best wishes for a pathway as smooth as it can be for Roundtuit.
We've just had 2 nights/3ish days in the Cotswolds joining 13 other biking (mostly now ex-biking) friends. While it was lovely to see everyone and catch up on news ( one couple's first grandson was born while we were there, early but healthy), it was too hot to do much. Motorbikes are fine while you're moving but after one stop to visit friend in hospital, 5 + sets of road works, 2 major road diversions it all got a bit hot.
Got home last night in time to water all the fruit and veg before notification came round about a hosepipe ban.
Managed to do a bit of pruning at 7am.
Did a lovely lake swim (26.2 degrees).
Went to L1dls. Closed due to power cut. Went on to Mr T which of course was twice as busy as usual with disgruntled L1dl customers and lots of harrassed assistants frantically filling up shelves. Tried to get a fan from C$rry's - sold out. Ditto R@nge. Earliest the big river shop can deliver is a week's time. Twot.
Hand-washed 4 garments. 1 load through WM.
Watered greenhouse and veg.
About to do some drumming. Not a lot else to report, various miscellaneous bits of admin and tidying.
Welcome letter from NHS as recent boobsquishing revealed zilch.

Jazee, I've thought about you at various times during the day and sent you Happy Birthday vibes through the ether, but haven't get round to actually "putting pen to paper" until now, and you're probably heading for bed! Hope it's been a good day xx
Round, you sound very organised xx
I managed to get to my boobsquishing appointment on time this morning, though Rosie's return home delayed me a bit as she wanted lots of fuss. The pink van was parked next to MrAl's so I went in there to do my weekly shop - our local branch being out of bounds until maybe Christmas as it is having an extension built and a full re-fit. I hadn't written myself a list so of course there are things that I forgot: so far I have realised that I need more yogurt, cucumber and radishes. I put on 3lb in 4 days away so need to get serious about decluttering that and more. Apart from that, I have done very little today except FUPA clean dry washing, snooze, and catch up with emails and forum posts. And play with Rosie, of course. She's had her mad half hour and is ready for her bedtime treats now.

Morning all. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a great day playing board games with DH. I did also cut his hair so he looks smart for our holiday and then did actually hoover the house.
Stayed up to watch the football so I'm running slightly late this morning. Having first cuppa then I'll get dressed and walk Poppet while it's still fairly cool.
More board gaming is planned today and packing for hols.
Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Belated Happy Birthday wishes Jazee
Got the family coming round for a roast later - shopping was challenging because fridges and freezers are failing at our Mr M - not surprising as its a big ask when the ambient temperature is so high.
Watched the footy last night. Sir Jude Bellingham - you heard it here first.
Bought a new, cotton dress from M&S which I spotted coming from the lift (I grab a trolley; I'vr never liked the escalators in there from when it was Debenhams) - a good price and I hadn't realised there was a sparks offer too! I always activate them all just-in-case.
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday. See you later with a listy…
