I want to publicly apologise for getting names muddled and mistakenly calling Round by Kaz. I am sorry

Evening all. Just briefly read back. Hugs for you Round.
Flying- just the usual stuff and yesterday I cleaned tiles and work surfaces in kitchen properly.
Off to bed now. 5am starts to walk the dog. One work day to go the. I'm off for nearly three weeks.

Morning all xx
I can't sleep so I've completed the nyt puzzles - or not when it came to Connections, where I only managed to complete 2 lines. There's a bird scarer going off nearby now so no more sleep here then.
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. It really helps knowing that you're all there wishing me well. And knowing that someone came out the other side is a boost. Thank you Pollybear 😘
The Notice of a Serious Diagnosis has appeared on my NHS app. That caught me by surprise. It's really happening then. Holy moley. This is surreal.
H took me to the pre op assessment yesterday. That was an interesting ride. We've been friends for over 50 years but I didn't know that she has absolutely no sense of direction. 'Turn left at the roundabout, H'. H indicates right and pulls into outside lane. Frantic hand signals and 'other left H' 😱. And I always wondered how it felt to go right round a roundabout. (And rhat wasn't the same roundabout by the way 🤣.) But we got there and back in one piece and that's done now.
Op on Monday at Grimsby with overnight stay. And Hull have sent my nhs app an outpatient's appointment letter for Tuesday! Plus an appointment letter for 8th September, which also says cancelled on the app. So I'm confused. Going to ring later to try and get it sorted out. The Macmillan Nurse was supposed to cancel the appointment on 14th. I don't want them to think I DNA. 😕 North Bank doesn't know what South Bank is doing 🤦♀️
Twot 🥵 to do anything. But my aim today is to pay the electricity bill and a month's rent; make my bed, feed the birds and put out the recycling; and look at the mountain of paperwork that has accumulated on the kitchen table . I think there is now 4 months worth of admin there 🤦♀️ I can do it 10 minutes at a time. That's a good idea.
Love to all. Keep cool. Stay hydrated.

Ah Round it will be an anxious time but you've not long to wait before the op.
It's been a hot sticky night. Towels washed.

Electricity bill and a month's rent has been paid.
Bed made, birds fed, recycling out, birdbath and hedgehog's dish refilled.
Pile of Admin ignored 😚
I called at Pops and had a coffee with him.
I've spoken to my Macmillan Nurse and she reassured me that the appointment at Hull on Tuesday is cancelled.
I realised that DB has unfriended me on Facebook at some point. And he hasn't responded to my message telling him my diagnosis. I was upset, but DS gave me sound advice:
Ello mammy.
Ugh last thing you needed. At the moment try to keep focused on you, you've got enough going on without stressing about that xxSensible DS 🥰. Focus on all the people who are supporting me. Not on the one that isn't. And breathe.....
I'm hungry. I forgot to eat breakfast. Not a sentence you'll see me write very often 😉

Went to the allotment early…well, early for me and when it was still shady. Quick water of essentials so as to not use too much water. Back, dusted and vacuumed spare room for imminent guests whilst I was still in a sweaty state. Showered. Then made their bed up in a half dressed, mostly decent attire 🫣. I am dressed again now, just to reassure you. Salad picked for lunch. Pension forms completed and uploaded 😱. I am thanking the much younger me for that pension opportunity. I think that might be the end of my flying for the day.

Hello all.
Just dailies, work shift and dog walk mainly. I popped to shop for birthday card, planted four new rose bushes, caught up with admin and have started packing for our holiday. I don't care what the brain scan shows tomorrow, I'm still having my holiday.

Up at silly O’Clock this morning (4.45am.. 😮) so took full advantage of the cooler temperatures.. everything got watered including the old tree out the front of where I live.. I’ve been giving him a couple of buckets of grey water over the last few days as the ground by him has become very cracked and dry.😕
Odd jobs done and kitchen s/s along with the bathroom too. Vacuumed the whole house top to bottom, dusted a smidge in DS1’s room 😳 (He needs to tackle that this week.. Lots of Lego = dust catchers!!)
Also spent an hour in the garage, made headway into organising the new shelving and cupboard. Hubster kindly took a big pile of recyclables to the recycling centre.
Have a spinach & ricotta lasagne to make.. 🥵 Currently taking 10 mins with legs up to help prevent ankles from swelling any more than they already have. 😑
Awwww @roundtuit your son sounds like and absolute gem.. 😊

There is no way I can do anything but the essentials. Had a very warm night. Opened the door to the back bedroom and marvelled at the apparent coolness - I am moving bedrooms tonight. Today's me is thankful that a slightly younger me cleaned that room, stripped the bed, washed everything and remade it.
