So the dining room has been done. Dusted all surfaces, wiped skirtings and windowsill, Hoovered and mopped floor. Oh and I have no idea why, but I rearranged all the alphabet fridge magnets into alphabetical order 🤷♀️
Dinner cooked, munched and cleared away along with half a tin of cider I found in the fridge, DW on.
Kitchen done so it looks clean, splashbacks and worksurfaces done and sink scrubbed and shined, floor hoovered and mopped. Cupboard doors and moving appliances to clean behind will have to be next time.
Thanks Honey Bear, but it really needed it. Just need to keep on top of it and get the other rooms remotely sorted but likely to cost money for storage units etc.
Anyway that's it for now. Need to be up for the dreaded work in the morning.

oh Kaz - LOVE the alphabetical order…you'll be using matching pegs before you know it…and excellent flying!
been to the vol job today because someone wanted the meeting room so the rest of the week is mine - except Friday when I'm doing a little job for the council
All my admin is done. the onerous tasks are all dealt with and banking up to date, including sorting the ISA which I missed last year as mum had died, so it's now a bit later than it would otherwise have been.

Drove home today after a great weekend with family and friends, having visited here both on the way out and back again. DH made it to his appointment at the surgery.
Did WMx2 this evening - the things I have hung out in the bathroom will probably dry overnight.
Watered the pots ditto
Checked finances ditto
Am now about to fall into bed, as it's an early-ish start for us tomorrow to get to North Wales before the heat gets to us.
Will be back on Friday.
Well done everyone for the flying, but especially kazmeister. (((Hugs))) to HB, round, Narc0, and anyone else who needs some xxx

Feeling a bit disheartened today. Never seem to get anything done or get any time to myself.
As nearly every day is the same with hospital duties I don't remember what I did when so this will be a bit muddled and repeated.
I've put all the washing away and bed changed. I've S/S the kitchen but plan to do a proper job later. The AF was cleaned after use, the SC pot is in the DW. I'll empty the bins and put them out this evening (must try and remember) as its bin day tomorrow. I've done cleaning washes on both the WM and DW and the TD filters have been cleaned.
As I said I hoovered yesterday but it looks like it'll need to be done again due the cats bringing in half the garden. I gave the cats a lecture over breakfast, telling them they need to eat all their meat before the flies get it and if they continue not eating it all they'll only get half a pouch each or none at all (they do have biscuit down all the time which theyre hardly touching at the moment)! They must have listened as both bowls were empty when I went back in the kitchen.
DW was unloaded and reloaded with odd bits and spag bol boxed up and frozen. Apart from tonight's portion that's in the fridge.
I've got the day off hospital duty, DD2 and baby are taking mum instead, because I have the job centre. While in town I hope to get a few bits that I need that are cheaper than the supermarket.

I decided today was a good day to pick, sort and jam the blackcurrants, before the next heatwave. I've also dialled though options on the luggage strap combination so now it can be used. Must write it down in a safe place.

Evening all, I have not managed to get much flying done today as I have been at my placement all day and only just got home.
This evening I:
- Feed the animals and walk the dog
- Spend an hour on uni work
- Check banking and dds
- Tidy up the living room as the kids stayed over with me last night and have left a bit of a mess (not that I am complaining)
- Sort clothes, bag and lunch for tomorrow
I think that will be enough for me to tackle tonight. I hope everyone is having a lovely Tuesday.

wow wendywitch you've managed to get a cat to do something they've been asked to do!
I managed to clean the hall window and window ledges, cleaned the glass in the front door and wiped the door sill. Cleaned the glass on the pictures and put away odds and wotsits that had been sneakily accumulating on the hall stand.
then I gave in to the heat and watched some football.

Evening all 😁
Have a full on day at the paid stuff, an hour an a half to do work then the rest of the day was pretty much back to back meetings including through my lunch break. Got home at quarter to six then had my sit down for a bit and unwind with a drink, usually DH makes a cuppa but as it was a bit on the warm side and having walked the nearly 2 miles I had a glass of iced coke. Hadnt even had any plans for tea so we went with a fridge dregs omelette with new potato chips as there is just DH and I while DD is in the states. I wanted to facetime when we sat down to eat but he said to wait until we had finished eating and of course by then she had gone out!
Anyway emptied and reloaded the DW and then walked to Mr T to go ingredients for the Ricotta and Orange scones. They are all now prepped and in the fridge ready to bake before work tomorrow, and I cleaned the mess I had made, wiped the work surfaces and swept the floor where I had split. Trying to close the loop and not leave stuff in the sink or waiting until tomorrow in an attempt to avoid cleaning marathons.
Valli I envy your blackcurrant jam, I haven't made it for about 3 years and we have only finished the final jar in the last couple of weeks. We now need to make our way through the redcurrant jelly/jam from the same era.
As for suitcases or luggage straps, if a 3 digit code is needed we always use BOB or LOL!
And as for matching pegs, I do try to!
Anyway enough for now, I have asked DH to wake me up when he goes to the lotty around 5am so I can get the baking done and still get to work on time.
