Some amazing flying going on around here. Ditto re the scone recipe Kazmeister.
Yesterday I dug some flying mojo out of somewhere. As you know, I am a staunchly fully paid up member of the Slothdom Club. Bedding stripped, washed and dried, bedroom dusted and vacuumed, ensuite scrubbed, even the shiny bits. I even remembered to remove the cobweb that has been lurking in the corner above the shower for, oh I don’t know how long. Landing, stairs and hall similarly dusted and vacuumed. All that after what turned out to be a 6 mile walk with a friend. To be fair we didn’t plan 6 miles, and at 2 miles away from home, our legs had had enough, and the heat trapped between the hedges was a bit on the warm side. To cap it all, I then had to trot to the allotment in the evening to water the bits that have now been prioritised. Other bits are being left. Anything shaded under dense netting is doing better in the heat, so that is my learning point for next year. Dinnercookedassembled, kitchen put to rights.
This morning I have a load of washing on the line and have cleaned the downstairs toilet while DH has been despatched to the market and to pick up a c&c. I am now doing what I do best - procrastinating with a coffee rather than tackling admin.
Hugs to all. Did I mention that there are extra squishy ones for Round 😘7 -

Thank you everyone 💓
I went back to sleep eventually and got up just after 7. I think it was, can't remember; definitely before 8 as NN daughter waved on her way past to catch the school bus. I've made my bed, showered and dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Wordle, put out the recycling, fed the birds, topped up the birdbath, eaten toast and supped two brews.
I've also messaged and been messaged. Sassy is very quiet. She's moulting and this heat doesn't help.
H is picking me up at 1.20 pm to take me for my pre op assessment. At least I know what to expect this time round. Which reminds me: I wonder if DS would source me a power pack to charge my phone. I didn't know they existed until a young man lent me his while I was an inpatient last month. I've looked online and been bamboozled by the choices.
Note to self also includes stock up on soft food at the weekend and pay several weeks' rent in advance as that saved angst last month.
Coffee now. Join me?

Oh @roundtuit had a quiet 😢 reading your news.. Have joined your for a coffee.. ☕️
Hope you’ve let out some of your feelings too.. a darn good wail helps a multitude of things.. 🤗 Very glad they are on the ball and getting things sorted for you asap! A power bank is definitely very handy to have, mine is a small torch like size ( with a built in light 🤷🏻♀️) has proved its worth many times over. & lastly 🤗..
Bless Sassy, it must be hard with feathers or fur.. 🥵 My cat has spent lots of time flopping on the cool kitchen floor & has also discovered the fan covers the back of the sofa if he positions himself just right 🤣
Some cleaning has been undertaken & the gas inspection done n dusted for another year!"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

@roundtuit - also joining in with good wishes. There are many flaws in our health system but when it's organised and co-ordinated like you are experiencing it will guide you through the hands and care of experts. Keep busy and/or rest - whatever suits you. Eat well and keep hydrated so you feel resilient ready for Monday.

(((Hugs))) for you Round. I was so shocked to hear your news I couldn't post straight away but have been thinking of you all day, and hope you're feeling reassured that the NHS has you on a the right course of treatment to deal with this. Great idea to get ahead and set things up a bit in advance so it's one or two fewer things on your mind.
On the subject of power packs, I have a lightweight one I bought in a £shop, although it cost a bit more than a quid but not much, and a heavy one which I bought from the Bay of E. I carry the lightweight one around in my handbag with a spare charging cable and the heavy one when I'm packing a bag for a long journey or an overnight stay. I find them invaluable and curse the days I don't have one of them with me when I run out of juice on the mobile.
Minor adjustments made to several hotspots. I'm gradually working my way through them, one by one, but it's a bit like that BBC2 ident a few years ago - as I dispose of one, another one pops up somewhere else and no matter how hard I jump on them they seem to multiply when I'm not looking. Or busy elsewhere.
Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.8 -
Major admin tackled here, including downloading and completing pension forms. Eek. Just need to scan and upload them now…Minimal watering done, the poor garden border seems to be going into shutdown.
Round, we all have power packs here - small emergency handbag type ones, larger ones for holidays or, in DD’s case, festivals. I also found a small battery reading light that clipped on the top of a book really useful once the lights went out at an early hour. But I guess that people generally read more on their phones now. And adult ward lights out will be somewhat different timings!

So sorry to read your news Round. When I was working one of my colleagues had the exact same thing and had the same treatment and she came through it all fine. I'm not saying it was fun but she got through it and came back to work when she was less radioactive x All the best to you.
Been out all day looking after DGD2 who is still ill after 8 weeks and could only manage 2 half days at school this week. Just involved being there to keep her company as she slept a lot of the day. Back there again tomorrow.
Too hot for me but I've watered the pots and now I'm having a sit down. Not enough washing for a load today but I'll make up for that tomorrow before I go out. It should be crispy dry by the time I get home again. I did vacuum through downstairs before we went out this morning.

Not much achieved today.
Washing done and dried.
DW loaded and unloaded.
Some PUPA in the spare room.
Lounge dusted.
