Dear all

I've acknowledged the service late, because not received the claim forms. Sent an email to court and cc-d the claimant, called court to confirm. Which they did.

Now received a judgment for not replying the claim form.

What are my options ? Anything wrong here from them.

Now I've received

Tell us the date of the Claim Form and the date you emailed your AOS, and which Claimant and which solicitor?

Does this relate to your other 5 threads about parking company notices or court claims ?

    Or a new case

Hint, too many threads can cause confusion, especially new ones with no context

Then Your deadline date was 33 days after the issue date, because the AOS was done promptly, within 19 days of the issue date , according to the 2 dates above

The defence deadline was 4pm on 13th May based on an issue date of 10th April

I've filed the DQ before the 33 days deadline.

Why should the judgment been issued

To file the defence is either 14 days , or 28 days, how come @Gr1pr says it's 33 days !?

The DQ is the N180, not the defence

It seems to me that you completed the AOS stage correctly but filed your defence 3 days after the defence deadline date, and incorrectly by email, instead of using MCOL, which adds to the delay, If DCB legal hadnt pulled the trigger on a judgment request ASAP

    The timing is

5 days from issue date to service date, a further 14 days gives you 19 days, plus an extra 14 days if you completed the AOS stage before day 19, so the earliest deadline is day 19, and in this case the deadline was 33 days after the issue date if you completed the AOS on 17th April

    5 + 14 + 14 = 33 days after the issue date, 28 days after the Service date

Or to put it another way, just trust the advice and information you are given on here, like you trust an airline and the pilots when you get on a plane
